Rippling question?? Please help!!
I've got 6 days til my op and my PS has 3 sizes of implant and is using a sizer on the day. I would like the biggest, 360 if poss, but am worried about rippling. I'm having overs and am currently a 32B, although am usually an A, my boobs have grown for no reason recently, (think they're scared, haha!!!!! )
Is it really common? I'm not sure mybreast cover rippling, I really want to go for the biggest but I'm worried I should go smaller in case it happens??
Please help!!!!

Oh i know how you feel hun. Perhaps you should say to your surgeon that you would like the 360 but only if you wont get rippling? I'm in a similar situation..been offered 260,280,300 overs and want the 300 but would rather 280 if it means less chance of rippling/feeling implant. Can you give your ps the decision, tell him you want the 360 but would rather go a tad smaller if he thinks theres a chance of rippling? Thats what i'm going to do! If he's using a sizer too i'm sure he'll get it right X x

Thanks for replying hun. I'm not sure if the ps can tell if it'll happen. I've been reading about it and most girls that get it don't notice for a few wks, I don't think it's an instant thing. I don't know whether to chance it and hope I don't get it, if I mention it to my ps he may be more inclined it put a smaller one in too, I suppose I've just got to weigh up the pros and cons. It would just be handy to know percentage wise, how many girls get it, so I have some idea.

Re: Rippling question?? Please help!!
It is only something that will be apparent with time, generally as the implant starts to drop and settle. I have partial unders and on the bottom inside of both breasts, I do now have slight rippling. I can only feel it though, not see it. It is only on the overs part of my partials that I get it.
I went through MyBreast for my op too. I am prettty much 100% certain that you are not covered or reop if you get rippling. Maybe you would have a slight chance if the surgeon was deemed to have recommended the wrong placement for you (overs when you should have had unders). But I doubt you would get anywhere.
The larger the implant, the higher the chance of poss rippling as you have already found out HH, It's a tough decision.
I will just say though that although no rippling would be lovely, it is one of the 'complications' in my mind that I would prefer to have if I had to have one. But that's just me.
Good Luck next week

Hi Kayla, we've got the same ps incidentally! Yeah I had 2 consultations, thought I'd asked about everything, just didn't take rippling into account and now my op's only 5 days away! I'm sure it'll be fine, from what I've read most rippling isn't visible and is usually only felt when in certain positions. Suppose anything's got to be better than my present boobs, Haha!

Re: Rippling question?? Please help!!
I really am not that bothered about feeling it, as long as I can't see it, I keep having random dreams I have it all over the top of my boobs and it's visible even in bra. I don't have a boyfriend either at the mo and don't much fancy explaining to a new one about my new boobs, although perhaps I'm being naive to think they wouldn't notice or feel i'd had them done!
Thanks for your replies so far x X

Hay Hun....
Id say you should be fine going with the larger size....if you started at a 32B then you have got a fair bit of breast tissue to cover that size implant.....you can only normally 'see' rippling if you start off with very little breast tissue & have overs.
Most girls can 'feel' a small bit of rippling if they say hang over with out a bra on but you cant normally see it.
I have hardly any breast tissue & my g.p couldnt even work out a bra size for me lol & i had 460cc over........I do have rippling that you can touch around the inside & across the top now & you can see the edge of the implant if i move my arms out of the way at the sides but its dosnt really worry me & i would rather of had that then gone alot smaller Also my rippling dissapears if i m wearing a bra.
Like i say starting at a 32B you have a fair bit of breast tissue so i think would be fine to go for the biggest sized implant.
