Should I trust my surgeon? Which size? Empty Should I trust my surgeon? Which size?

Post by SJG83 18th January 2011, 1:42 pm

Still stuck on size. Would really appreciate some guidance.

Should I trust my surgeon?! I am a 32c and want to achieve a DD (but look it too). He has offered me 310 and 365 extra high profile - overs.

He has said that he would advise me to go for the 310 as he thinks that will be more than enough to get me to the size I want.

Since looking at the Allergan catolog I can see that there I barely much difference in these two sizes. The 365 is just 0.7mm bigger in diameter. I think.

Can anyone help? And are there any girls out there who were the same size as me pre op and have had a similar size implant? Would really like to know what size you have ended up.

Also, I'm having Mr Khan @ Transform. Has anyone else had him?

Thanks xx

Hmmm... Also I have just measured my back under my bust and I measure 29inches. Does this make a difference to anything? Other than I probably could have gotten away with wearing a 30" bra x

Your stats say you had 410's though Natalia - so that would make quite a bit of difference.
SJG - would you be horrified of going larger??? Most of us (although by no means all of us) do suffer from a certain amount of boobie greed afterwards and wish we had (or in some cases, were able) gone larger. Fully clothed even an F doesn't look huge (or perhaps that's just me an my Boobs eyes these days LOL.
If you are really worried about going too large, then stick with the 310's otherwise I'd say definitely go with the 360's if you're not too worried about going larger.
.......... and yes, trust your surgeon - he has probably seen more boobies and the results from doing augmentations than either I or the rest of us put together and should be a good judge of what to give you to achieve a certain look.

Well I'm a DD cup at the moment Jolene and I certainly wouldn't class them as huge, even naked - not by a long chalk.
But, and it's a big BUT, I have seen so many boobs over the last couple of months I'm constantly surprised my eyes aren't boob shaped by now LOL - so maybe I'm just getting used to bigger boobs being normal size now and why I don't think they look big and add to that my two closest friends are an E cup and an F cup (both natural, the bitches LOL) respectively and you can probably realise why I said that.

Only asking cos I'm still in a pickle about size, my op is in 9 days so I really need to make my mind up!!!!
I thought I'd decided on 420cc but I keep thinking I can go to 450 and everyone keeps talking about boob envy, I don't want to end up thinking " wish I'd gone bigger" and knowing I could have!!!

No, that's all right pet, it's so complicated making the right choice for you.
TBH I don't think anybody would really notice any difference between 420 and 450 - if you have a kitchen measuring device weigh out 30 gms of water and pour it into an egg cup and see just how little there is - now imaging that volume of water spread out round one of your boobies and then you might be able to judge just how small the increase that would make.
If you are at all unsure, I think the common response from everybody here would be, go larger rather than smaller.

OMG I've never thought about it like that!!!! That's made up my mind for me, my surgeon said although I can go to 450 if it was him deciding he would say the 420, so if not much difference I may as well get what he recommends xx

Can you have another consultation with your surgeon? Maybe take some pictures along of boobs you like. A 30dd is a bit smaller than a 34dd. So you can see that is why surgeons dont really work in cup sizes. As a 30dd would be the same as a 34c. I would go have a look at 30dd bras maybe try them on. Even try the rice boobs with the sizes your surgeon suggested just to give you an idea of what they could look like. Although they do look a bit smaller when on the inside

I'm a 34b and he said even with 400 I wouldn't be smaller than d/dd (I am a empty/small b though)!!!
I've tried the water thing and he sent me some implants in different sizes ( although he said this is not best way to see), they just all look huge, prob cos I'm not used to them, but you girls pics I've seen they don't look so big!!!!
I think I'm turning into a drama queen lol!!!! Don't think he will fit me in before my op now, but I'll see him before surgery, I do have pics of the shape/look I want just not size!!!! I'm sure I'll sort it and knowing me cos I'm so impulsive I'll prob just say blow it give me 450!!!!

Post by abbie 18th January 2011, 6:21 pm

i let my surgeon decide on the day.
I was umming and ahhing between 330s and 360s, but on the day he said while on the table that neither of those sizes filled up the skin i had, so he put 420s in.
Im a 30FF but this is only equivalent to a 34D, so its not actually as huge as it sounds. if youre a larger band size, then you need a bigger implant for the same effect.

i wouldnt always agree that you should go for the largest youre offered, because depending on the surgeon, that could be rather large, and not everyone wishes theyd gone bigger. I certainly dont, and theres a couple of girls on here who've downsized as they felt they went too big the first time round. I think its important to try on implants and see what you think suits you best.
I would say though, that a lot of women are scared of going too big, so choose very modestly, and then theyre surprised that the implants actually dont look as big as they thought they would once theyre in and settled.
Its a tricky one for sure.
