Post by ToriLoula 15th January 2011, 4:48 pm

Hi girls, firstly thanks so much for all your support over the past few days.
I got home from my BA 9.30pm last night and felt absolutely fine. Today I feel even better, in fact I keep forgetting I had it done then just remember, oh I had them done already! No pain whatsovere, I haven't taken any painkillers because I am just in no pain at all, did he really put them in or am I just strapped up? lol.
Anyway I have the lovely latex bandages all around my boobs with just the nipples poking out (quite un-evenly) through the gaps in the tape. To me it looks like my boobs are SMALLER than they were before the op! They just look small and pointy. And if they're this small now how much smaller are they going to be after the swelling goes down? Do I even have any swelling? I'm really worried now, maybe I'm just worrying over nothing but I don't know?
I had a boob job before but I can't rem, ember much about it.
Any advice much appreciated
Thanks again girls I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have you to talk to.
xxxxx

They are being compressed by the bandage. They will look different given a few weeks.

They deffo wont be smaller that your 410s its impossible its like 200 cc more. Dont panic yourself the bandages & trauma of the op will be makin them seem loads smaller. Are u deffo sure you had 410s the first time round? Xxxxx

Don't worry ToriLoula I'm sure it's just the bandages squashing them down, as littlewishes just said, with an extra 200cc they've got to be bigger. Happy healing hun. xxx

Hi hun, as Misf1 and alfie said they will be compressed by the bandages - it's a bit like wearing a wet suit and being able to see your feet - haha, because they 'flatten and squash' you so much, but your boobs soon reappear once you're out of it .....Flash

Good to hear your not in any pain....happy healing xx

How they look now is nowhere near what they will look like when they are out of the dressings and have settled down hun. Try not to worry, we all get 'torpedo tits'.

They are strapped up hun& compressed not to mention the swelling will create a smaller boob look........I didnt even realise i had swelling till it started to settle around 5 weeks post op & my boobs strted to look alot bigger..............you very early on so just let them heal & settle.

Its a really good to hear you have no pain at all!
They say re-op's are not ment to be anywhere near as bad & painfull as the 1st op.........Happy Healing Hunnie dance

Hi TL - I am 5 days post op & have strapping that you do - mine are also very pointy indeed - just like yours, with just nipples poking out. I know from the feeling of the strapping that they are really compressed & it has been great to have this support on them this week. I will let you know Monday when I have the strapping off & the bra on what the next step is! I think the compression has really reduced the swelling too as I dont seem to have much (that I can feel)

Thank you girls I will wait and see, anyone else get really sore from the tape? I'm red and have purple gashes where it's going through my skin, mostly at the edges and middle cleavage parts, very itchy and sore, it's not the boobs it's the reaction of the sticky bandage thing, ouch! xxxxx

Hi I have rang the out of hours nurse and she has advised me to cut off the tape where it is hurting. I have done it and OH MY GOD my skin is red raw eith purple gashes where it has rubbed. It feels loads better now Ive cut most of it off, I have left the bits that go under the boob over the scars cos I daren't touch that. I have put my Macom bra on over them to try and protect them. Will this be ok? I really couldn't stand it any longer!
The nurse said my surgeon is the only one that works with them that uses this tape and most people have this problem.
