Do I need a pillow to come home with?
Hi girls - planning ahead for Monday - I've read in a couple of places here (I think) that some of you have used a pillow on the journey home. Really stupid question, but I presume it goes over the new additions & the seat belt goes over the pillow? Coming home advice welcome!!

Wow, I didn't even think of that =S interesting! Well you learn something new every day lol. And having learned this, I am definitely going to have a pillow... I am going to get something really cute and pretty and scented (because everything I own is cute and pretty and scented, otherwise it gets its own surgery to become cute and pretty and scented ) and then it'll be there if I fall asleep as well lol. Or you could take a giant teddy bear to hug in front of you

Hi hun,
Yes I would advise a pillow or even 2 for the ride home... if its a long ride you may want pillows to lay back on and rest, and a V pillow is great for around the waist to give a bit of support to the new additions on a bumpy ride home.
I had a V pillow and had it around me under the girls for days as it felt good to have that bit of extra support.
good luck on Monday!!

A friend of mine embroidered me a little cushion with a pretty pink bra and my ba date! I took it with me and it ended up being my best friend! I slept on it (hospital pillows suck) and it protected my new additions on my 3 hour car journey home.

Hiya, and good luck by the way for Monday, I didnt need a pillow for my trip home, I do only live 40 mins away from the hospital though, the worst part for me was, for about a mile before my house there are speed bumps, and i felt every single one of those, not just on that day for about a month after too!!!

I took a big fleece blanket which I folded up and put between my new boobs and the seat belt, worked a treat, although I still held onto them for dear life all the way home!! :heehee:

The best thing I have bought Is the v pillow from argos for £6.99!!
I used it on the car on way home (not only more comfy but I felt safer as well)... Then I've used it since on the sofa and in bed!!
Hope all goes well, will be thinking of you catwoman :) xx

I only had a 30 minute ride from my hospital, so I didn't take a pillow but I would have been more comfy if I had. I clutched my boobies for the whole of the journey, you feel every pot hole. So my advise would be to take one hun. xx

Re: Do I need a pillow to come home with?
I took a normal bed pillow and put it across my boobs and the seat belt over the top for my journey home. It was very comfortable. My boobs were numb so I had no pain, but I could sort of feel them, especially over speed bumps which was the weirdest sensation ever.

I agree with the others about taking a pillow to put between the seatbelt and your boobs. xx

Lol yes, that sounds gorgeous!! We should so do those on here - get a group of people who can make little pillows or covers and send them out to people before their BAs

Thanks girls - love the idea of the embroidered ones - bit late now though, lol!! WIll def take a pillow. Anyone going in soon, get a V pillow sooner rather than later as Argos all around me are out of stock, so will have to settle for normal pillow for the time being.
Feeling sooooooooooooo nervous - have felt sick all day - just did the ironing whilst watching "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" - took my mind off it for a bit & forcd myself to eat something. Leaving at 6.30am 2mrw - will report back!!
Thanks for all your advice & good wishes xx
