I am afraid I am not much help as I did not have my BA on the NHS, I would guess that you are simply placed on a waiting list and we all know what NHS waiting lists can be like...

Misty, I know how you feel. I want to lose a bunch more weight before I have mine, and it's driving me crazy. I want to start booking consults and stuff but I honestly think there's no point me doing that yet... but I want my new boobs NOWWW *stamps foot*

There are definately girls on here way before their BA, you are not overly keen at all. The whole process of going through a BA is a big deal and the support on here is amazing and addictive. This site is a source of support for those at any stage of a BA even one year away. Being on here will have you fully informed by the time your day comes :)

Hay mistyhoney,
Yeah I've still got some waiting to do as I'm still saving up
Hoping to have the money around May -June time that's if nothing else crops up! So might be sooner than yours. Seems like I've been planning this BA for years though!
I am quite newish to this site but been on some others for a long time!
Congrats on getting the go ahead! I'm sure the time will go quickly!

Dont worry hun, there have been a few people on here that have had quite a wait before having their op. I think it's only natural for you to want to be able to research what will happen, and speak to girls that have been through it. Any questions you have along the way, just ask.
Re: Anyone else having to wait aaages?
Hey Misty, i had mine done privately as i saved up and inherited some money, but a work colleague of mine had her's done on the NHS and she waited 18months before even seeing a consultant and then i think was about 3 months on top that before she had the operation. Now you've had your yes you will be anxious to get it done. I went on the 3rd November to my consultation and had my op on the 15th November, barely time to think which was good i guess cos i didn't want to chicken out. I was on here for a while before it and just observed it and then i took that could wrap around the world twice with me and made sure i had answers as well. Made me feel so at ease then. i would suggest just paying attention to whats on here and get a book and write your questions down as with the NHS you wont actually have your pre assessment appointment until 6 weeks before and then they try to get you in almost immediately after because they'll MRSA & C-diff test you beforehand. hope this helps xx

Re: Anyone else having to wait aaages?
I waited ages misty cos i decided 100% that I was going to have a boob job in January 2009 and joined this site but then decided to complete my family first, so I got pregnany later in the year and had my baby in july 2010, then had my boobs done in the september, so I was on here (alot!) for nearly 2 years in the end!!
It's worth the wait though definitely xx
