6 days after surgery.. Empty 6 days after surgery..

Post by daniellalove 28th December 2010, 7:11 pm

I had my surgery six days ago 380cc. Im feeling so much better than I did a couple of days ago, although my right breast seems to not be making any changes. Still VERY swollen with a big bruise right on top. I am also nervous because i feel something on the bottom right side. Something hard ad hurts to even touch it. It feels like a BIG vein would feel i cant example it. Im not sure if thats causing the breast to not heal. Im very nervous and do not go back to the surgeon until 6 weeks.

Any advice??

thx!

Hi hun, it can takes months for your breasts to heal, so I wouldn't worry too much about them yet. It sounds like you have mondors chord, which is an inflamation of the vien following surgery, it is nothing to worry anout though and it will go on it's own.
My advice is not to panic, you will have lots of changes to go through over the next weeks and months. If you are at all worries about anything else, dont hesitate to ask or ring your clinic.

Thank you for you help!I actually went back to my surgeon yesterday because i was a little worried he checked and said it was an air bubble. Which is good because they go away by themselves. He wants me to go back in a couple days just to check on it.

Hay Hun i totally agree with misf1 there are so many changes in your boobs in the next few months so try not to worry about them to much,

Your going to have pain & feel rubbish for the 1st few weeks.....I got to about 1&half-2 weeks post op & got a mondors cord below my right boob & OMG it hurt like hell! it was the vein pain you are discribing & soooooo owchy but i out ice on it & it took a few days to a week to settle.....it would also flare up if i moved my arms about to much so had to rest quite a bit more then what i should have at that stage.

after saying all that i have just read you found out it was a air bubble  ..........so at least you now no what a mondors cord is! Hysterical
