I apologise as this has prob been discussed before but i missed the info. I need to get a sports bra for after my BA. I plan to go to a C/D cup. I'll be swollen so what size should I get. The pre-op lady said a D I think. Is that right? And where's good to get one cheap? Oh my gosh I've only got like 5 weeks left! This is happening so fast.

As for cup size id say get some different sizes, 1 cup size bigger than you plan to be & maybe a couple of cup sizes bigger

I would recommend going at least 1 band size up from what you normally wear and get at least a couple of cup sizes (in your case a D and a DD). I got 2 full support bras from M&S (the minimum recommended by my clinic) and 2 of Asda's post-operative bras. If you don't remove any of the labels until you have tried them on and found which of them are the most comfortable you should have no problem with returning any unused ones (but check the store's returns policy). I think you will need at least 3 bras as you have to wash them each night - so I tend to wear 2 fresh ones per day (one for during the day and 1 for wearing in bed) - but I wanted to make sure that I had plenty of clean ones available to make sure they were clean when they were next to the scar tissue, but maybe I was being just too fussy.
