Different sports bra recomendations...?
Happy Boxing day girls!!
Having heard back from my surgeon that I don't have to wear the m&s zip front sports bra (I am finding it v uncomfy to sleep in) I ran out today & got 2 from Tesco as it's all that was open. I tried them on in the changing room and it's mad how they are such different fits & sizes! They will be fine for sleeping as much softer than the m&s one and fit without squashing. My surgeon doesn't want me to wear anything compressing, just supportive and not too tight.
What have you worn/are wearing that is very comfortable? The reason I don't like the m&s one is there is a seam on the inside which is pressing against the top of my boobs and the bit where the zip is digs in :(

Re: Different sports bra recomendations...?
I have gone back to my cheaper Asda sports bra and have borrowed a back extender - I think the M & S one has caused my bruising to spread as it was so tight. Black and blue under right along under each boob and into each armpit now. Also I am now wearing a cotton camisole type top under the sports bra against my skin to stop the elastic under the cups digging in so much - much more comfortable, also helping with the itching. xx

Re: Different sports bra recomendations...?
Hi hun, I used the asda sports bras and found them comfortable, with enough support for me.
Re: Different sports bra recomendations...?
I've heard Asda have the best one's. But there's no Asda near me. Do Primark have ne decent ones?

I am going to M&S tomorrow and going to try on one of their post-op bras as they are meant to be soft :) The tesco ones I got are going straight back as they are both really scratchy :(

Re: Different sports bra recomendations...?
Hey Carol - yes I know about the Asda ones but they had none of the sizes I needed in stock when I tried to order just before xmas! I will try M&S tomorrow as I am going to a shopping centre and if no good I'll try Asda online again!

Yes, they are a little limited in the range that they do Em, I was just lucky I guess. How are you feeling today hun, hope you managed to get through Xmas without any undue discomfort.
HM: You're welcome hunnie, hope you manage to get something - make sure you get the next band size up from what you normally wear though.

i really like the "gorgeous" sports bras from debenhams. I found them super comfy, and dont rub on the scars at all

Hello angel
I tried everything - M&S, debenhams, shock absorbers, and couldn't find anything that didn't leave lines or seam marks, or rub the scars, or squash them. Have been living in a macom post-op bra for the last 4 weeks (i'm 5-1/2 weeks post-op) and it's sooooo comfortable.
Two downsides though: they're expensive and they look RUBBISH...

I've got debenhams ones as well, not sports bras but the non-wired t-shirt bras. They are comfy and give a flattering shape. Good luck and happy shopping!

Re: Different sports bra recomendations...?
Just been to M&S and taken back 2 zip front sports bras as they didn't fit. On Alt_barbie's recomendation I got the M&S maximum support post op bra and it's the most comfortable I have been in the whole 2 weeks!
So post-op bras are the way forward girls!!
