Will i be able to go without bra 2weeks post BA?
I am due for my BA on 28/4/11 (long way off I know) but then on the 14th of May I am a bridesmaid for my best friends wedding and the dress is strapless so it will look awful with sports bra straps sticking out!!!
Do you ladies think it would be ok to go without a bra just for a few hours until I can change the dress or just put a shrug on to cover the straps?
I feel sad posting this on christmas day but OH is drunk and asleep on the sofa so I thought I'd talk about my favourite thing BOOBS!!!
Any help would be great
Merry Christmas to everyone

Might have to just tuck the straps in til after the ceremony then don a shawl or shrug to cover them up!

As Sophie said - ask your surgeon. However, I went to an awards evening and asked if I could go without my chest strap (I would have been wearing a bra) but I got a resounding "No!!!!!!!"
................. but, it would appear that different clinics/surgeons all have their own personal recommendations and as you have paid a lot of money for your surgeons advice, ask him and then abide by what he says.

I would say you might get a bit achy without the support, maybe invest in like a tight boob tube bra that will just go across your boobs? There is no wire and it will give a bit of support

That or steal a whole bunch of bandages from work and pressure bandage myself up tehehehe :heehee:
Just kidding, think the best thing to do is A to check with my clinic and B see how I actually feel at that time.
I don't think I can even wait this long

Could you not move your op a couple of weeks earlier? Or even later?

Or just have it done on a Friday, call in sick that day and the beginning of the week after. I'm having mine done on a Friday in Jan and am planning on working the Tuesday

My daughter is getting married on 14th may as well - which is why I had my BA done on Tuesday because I want them to be back to normal (well normal but bigger) by then. Can you not speak to the bride about you and other bridesmaids wearing a shrug top - as you don't know if you will have visible bruising - I am only post BA 5 days but I have brusing under both boobs and right along under both arm pits. Can you not more BA forward by a few months?
