Hey ladies i had my ba on weds and am in my sports bra n I have my check up ties but just wondered what to expect?also no one mentioned anything about stitches do you no if they are dissolvable or have to be removed?x

Hi Tinkerbella, mine were the dissolvable stitches, but when the nurse removed the dressings at my post op checkup on day 8, she also trimmed the ends of the sutures. Doesn't hurt at all

I would think if they were removable stitches they would have told you, I know pre op that I had an appointment for my stitches to be removed. It was fine having them removed.

Hiya my first check up was really good. A time to ask any questions I had, changed my dressings so was the first time I saw my scars, I had dissolvable stitches. Its nothing to worry about at all hun x

I had dissolvable too. My check up was quick and painless. The dressings were taken off and replaced with stretchy surgical tape, just for a bit of added protection. I was told to take that off myself after a week or two. I just took them off this morning and I am AMAZED!!!!!! The scars are tiny! And already not really that noticeable cos they are right at the bottom! Im soooooo pleased!!

I also told my PS that it looked as though my boobs had been put on upside down! He reassured me about the fluffing and settling too...although he didnt call it fluffing!
