Post by pebbles 18th December 2010, 5:43 pm

[b]DAY 1
When I got up I had my first taste of 'morning boob'. Took the pain killers and wasnt long before I felt ok again.Made it through my first day, didnt sleep much last night but have managed to sleep a bit today, think the tramadol helped with that, they kinda space me out a bit which Im not complaining about.
Not sure whether the discomfort is getting easier or Im adjusting to it but either way Im heading in the right direction. I try to prepare for the worst case and anything better is then a bonus and so far that works for me. So yes in a couple of days I might not be so upbeat but will cross that bridge when I come to it and from what others have said on here it wont last that long......just keep looking down my top, Im sure that'll help me through the lows.

Hi Pebbles

Hope you are still healing well - my admission time is 12.30 pm and I think I am 2nd on the list - have about 25 miles to drive, so hoping we don't get more snow. Just hoping my PS doesn't live in a some remote village and is snowed in, it is very hilly around here. Have the start of a cold, just a bit sniffy and sore throat - kill or cure, just gargled with TCP!!!

Hi Jellytot1
I have everything crossed for you, for both the weather and the cold. Only 2 more sleeps, how exciting.

DAY 2

Slept better last night apart from my OH and his friend returning from a gig. My bum has started to hurt which is obviously how Ive been sitting just need to try and work out another comfortable position.
Woke up with morning boob which is quite painful or maybe achey would be a better word, a couple of painkillers and the fact that I was expecting it made it easier.
I am still quite uncomfortable but nothing to moan about really and I am able to do a lot more for myself, which is good as my OH is back to work tomorrow.
Im still on cloud nine about my boobs and again thru mass amounts of studying them I think they have dropped ever so slightly, they might not have but it makes me feel good!!!!
So far so good Cheerleader

DAY 3

Feeling loads better and only took pain killers first thing this morning, but do intend to take them before bed tonight. I slept well last night, still waking up a lot, but not staying awake which is good and now by bending my legs to the side but still sat up I've changed the pressure points which I think is helping a lot. Still uncomfortable but able to move my arms about a lot more without pain. Still not been to the toilet, Blush any advice, as this is bothering me a bit now??

Plenty of whole grain foodstuffs Pebbles (wholegrain bread, wholegrain cereals
wholegrain rice and pasta and if that doesn't do the trick a mild laxative such as sennacote.
I was told that they wouldn't let me out of Dolan Park until I'd been - so that probably scared me into going LOL.

I was kept in after having my 2nd son for 5 days as I couldn't go...I'm an expert lol!!

Firstly are you taking codeine? That bungs you up so check your tablets and stop them for 24 hrs (take plain paracetemol instead) and eat kiwis, dried apricots and shreddies. You'll not be able to get off the loo ;) xxx

Thanks Emma

I havent had the co-codamol and ate at bit more high fibre food, and wahey, Ive been. Also em would you know which is better for me to use paracetemaol or ibrufen? Am going to stop the tramadol today but I dont think you took them in the first place?

Thanks Mistyhoney,
Glad you liked it, its good to compare others diaries you then realise how different we can all be, yet also how many similarities there are. It was these type of diaries that reassured me throughout.

DAY 4
Each day gets slightly easier although I have a pain behind my rightie, nothing to worry about as yet, just aware of it. My nurse from Transform rang me to see how I was, if there were any problems and if I had any questions. I actually go and see her at 9.30 on Friday to check how Im healing. But Im really impressed with the standard of contact, the appointment was made on the day of surgery, but they rang me the morning after and now again today.
I swore I would be grateful for having the boobs and unlike some of the selfish girls on here I would be patient........
SO WHY ARE THEY NOT DROPPING ALREADY!!!!!!
Oh how things change when its happening to you!! Hysterical

No I wasn't allowed Tramadol as I am on fluoxetine (prozac). Ibuprofen would be best as it helps with swelling but I stuck with paracetemol and haven't taken any now for nearly 2 days. I suppose I want to feel any pain/twinges as I want to make sure it's all healing ok!!!

I don't want mine to drop!!! I would be happy if they stayed right as they are...well the left one certainly it's perfect lol. I think after years of having horrible different sized droopy boobs I like them looking stuck on Hysterical

like you em I dont want to overdothe painkillers. I do want to take them at night to try and sleep well, as i need this for recovery and am really tired in the day. I am sleeping at night but just waking up too often, tho each night it gets slightly better. will try sticking to ibuprofen.

Oh and I got a get well soon card through the post from Transform, maybe everyone gets these but I thought it was a really nice touch x

Post by **Jem** 21st December 2010, 6:16 pm

Hi Pebbles!

Im really enjoying reading your diary, you sound like me - prepare for the worst and then feel really happy when its not so bad!

Im 3 week since mine and I found that in the 2nd week as long as I rested I felt better each day...although as I didn't find the pain too bad some days I did over-do it and went a bit backwards. But then in the 3rd week my recovery seemed to speed up even more!

So its probably not long until you feel nearly normal...although a bit achy by the end of the day. Im still finding Im really tired too though. I think it must be all the energy my body is putting into healing.

I know what you mean about being impatient about them dropping! I keep telling myself - its still early days, wait, wait, wait! They have definitely got softer, although they are not soft and squishy boobies yet! And they have dropped but hopefully still more to go!

Its really nice to hear you so positive! Hope it continues to go well for you! What size did you get?

i had 290cc though he was originally going for 320cc. Dont think I could have gone much bigger, no breast tissue and strong, thick chest muscles. One minute think they're too small, next too big, therefore think they should be fine

Am 2 weeks post op and everything is fine, my boobs are still high and hard but its gonna take time, and although my scars are quite sore Im not in any pain.

I went out last night and one of the girls said, 'where did you get them boobs, I thought you were flat chested!' Kinda threw me at first, as no one knows but then I was soooo made up, she doesnt actually know Ive had them done and probably thinks its padding, but how good was that???? yahoo
