Excited but waiting for nerves to kick in as Im sure they will. I have to be there by 8 but should get there for about 7.40, its not too far and I dont want to risk losing the first spot.

Re: Pebbles BA Day
Yay Pebbles, by now you should be back in your bed in your room, no doubt feeling very drowsy and starving hungry and you've probably had a peek inside your pj top to make sure you have your beautiful new boobies (you'll probably keep on doing that the rest of the day :heehee: ).
I hope everything went absolutely great for you and I am really looking forward to reading your BA story, once you feel well enough to write about it.

Re: Pebbles BA Day
Quick update, am back in the room, have eaten but not much. In quite a bit of pain, as expected as I have 'thick and strong' chest muscles. But don't care at all, as evry time I look down my top I see boobs, and I am doing that often. No pain, no gain and soooooo worth it. Thanks everyone xxxxxx

Re: Pebbles BA Day
I have had my "low" day today I think. Woke up this morning thinking I was so lucky being so pain free then think I over did it having a bath & making lunch etc. Had a little sleep this afternoon but the stinging in my right nipple is really hurting! Think it's time for the strong pain killers again tonight ;) Thanks for asking!
You happy? x

Re: Pebbles BA Day
The stinging is a good sign hunnie - it shows the nerves have started to regenerate and knit together again. My nips have been tingling all bl**dy day today (I've just included this in my BA latest update) LOL. It might also suggest that since it is happening so early on in the recovery process for you, that you are a good (and fast) healer - so look on it as a positive.
If they are hurting that much though, try some make up remover pads between your nipples and the bra, this should soften any rubbing and help reduce the sensation.
............ and yes, I'm very pleased in how my babies are progressing - get a bit giddy with delight every time I see them in the mirror YAY!!

Re: Pebbles BA Day
Here goes my story:
I arrived at 7.40 and was taken to my own room by 7.45, I was really pleased by this, as I was a day case thought I might have been on a ward. I was given about 20mins to settle in and entertain my OH flashing and singing farewell to my flat chest. Nerves????? What nerves?????
The nurse came into see me and explain how everything was going to happen and what order, she was so friendly and down to earth, taking my blood pressure etc and then told me the anaesthetist was on his way.
He arrived and went through everything with me, a small scratch to my hand inserting the canula, and I would fall asleep quickly.
Next was my PS and a bit ago I had rang the clinic after being on this forum to find out exactly what size etc I was having. She told me 330cc to be a D cup, I didnt want to be that big as I am a really small frame but she said I could discuss it with my PS Mr Cajano on the day. I really like him he is small and friendly looking and is funny in his mannerisms and has a sense of humour. When Imentioned the implant size to him he explained that as I have a long chest the implant needs to be bigger or 'it will look like an xmas baublestuck under my nipple' and as Im having unders and have such thick chest muscles they could lose more profile than other girls who have unders.
He said he would take 290cc and 320cc in with him.
But then came my panic, as I have a blood disorder called haemacromatosis, which is rare but just way too much iron in my blood, which can deposit on my major organs and cause BIG problems, but as long as I give blood 2-3 times a yr it will never affect me. As he was unable to find the blood test result he started questioning the procedure and said he would have to talk to the anaesthetist to make sure. I swear I nearly cried, how could they do this at the final hour????? Fortunately they were there just not in the correct part of the file, easy mistake I know but my world just crumbled.
And so at about 9.15 a different nurse came up to go through the paper work one last time and take me to theatre, again she was lovely we were having a laugh about men and xmas shopping and all the excuses I now have. She took me down to theatre and introduced me to all the medical staff, I was having loads of fun and it wasnt even registering what was about to happen with the anaesthetist joking about me getting sleepy. The staff were fab.
3-2-1 your back in the room! OMG how did that just happen, only now while typing this have I realised I cant explain how I got back there, thinkI remember walking in???? Anyway cant tell you what I dont know!!!!!
They then attended to my every whim, I was feeling slightly nauseous but nothing too bad and spent the next hour or so drifting in and out of sleep. I was quite uncomfortable and felt I couldnt breath in properly, I was aware that the right side was more painful than the left, and then I looked at them.......
:cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead: :cheerlead:
Yes they are sat under my chin, once again due to the strength of my chest muscles and yes they are uncomfortable and not without pain, SO WHAT?? they are mine.
I have all my meds, tramadol, co-codamol and only 3 x antibiotics which I thinks a bit strange or is that the norm.
Now on and on Ive gone about my chest muscle, but Im not worried as I was expecting this, but on the bright side, by other peoples accounts, I dont have to wear a sports bra or any bra for that matter, well at least until I go back next friday and I think this is due to them very muscles?
So need to tryand sleep as this will be the best way to recover, but still wide awake.
So pleased with this forum and all the girls as I give it full credit for how confident I am feeling.

Re: Pebbles BA Day
Hi hunnie, I loved your story, I could feel all that excitement that you went through.
How are you feeling now lovely?? Hope the nausea has disappeared now. You will probably be sore and tight in that area for a few days, but it does get easier day by day, I promise.
I'm a bit surprised that you don't have to wear a sports bra though, I had unders and have strict instructions that I must wear a sports bra (or full support bra)and the chest band (to help force them to drop) for the first 6 weeks. I would ring your PCC just to make sure that you heard them correctly as things can get a bit garbled even a day after having a GA. However, all clinics and procedures are different, but I would hate that your recovery was put into jeopardy because of this.
Anyway, it is so nice to find you so chirpy
xx

The 3-2-1 back in your room (or recovery for me) is so true! Having not had a GA before you can't imagine it really will be like that!!!
I only got 3 days (6 tablets) of anti biotics too. I wasn't allowed tramadol or diclofenac as I'm on prozac (booooo) so take them for me ;)

Carol I have checked my paperwork and defo no bra, i think it is cos they are so high and how thick my muscle is, though they have dropped slightly, probably a millimetre but I am studying them that hard I notice.

Oh that makes me feel better, It just seemed everyone else had a weeks worth. I know its down to the individual PS, but I am not to wear a bra, have no strapping and only 3 antibiotics. The hospital rang me this morning to check how I was and I did ask them but again said its up to the PS. Slightly worried about infection??

I know, it becomes an obsession, doesn't it?? I think it is because most/many of us were so ashamed of the size/shape of our boobs and now we have something to be proud of.

Re: Pebbles BA Day
Don't worry Pebbles, your surgeon knows what's best for 'you' and your recovery hunni. It's not at all unusual to be requested not to wear no bra at all hun... different surgeons give different advice and I suppose that advice may also differ from patient to patient too depending on their individual needs x
