Chest bands
I know we all have to wear them 24/7 and I'm sure we all hate them (but I'm sure the unpleasantness will be well worth it in the end.
However, I have just had a late invite to an awards ceremony and dinner on Monday and wondered if it might be OK to go without for an evening. I don't really want to turn up in a turtle neck sweater for this do
xx

Re: Chest bands
I'd call your clinic on monday and ask their advice Carol.
The band is being used as part of 'your' recovery hunni, if you're meant to keep it on 24/7 then is taking it off for a night out worth risking the healing process of your boobs?
You've paid a lot of money for those babies Carol, you need to take care of them and follow your surgeons advice to get the best possible results from them hun. xxx

Re: Chest bands
Thanks Hattie and Cookie,
I've just texted (??) my PCC and she was adamant that I should keep it on
Oh well, major wardrobe rethink is on the cards for this afternoon - another day where my bed will be strewn with discarded clothes

Re: Chest bands
LOL... I remember that well Carol!
I found beautiful pashminas hid things very well hun, so maybe you could still wear something you'd like to and then hide the top by draping it in a pashmina?

Re: Chest bands
I don't know why I'm fretting about this, I've just got to think about what Sophie is going through at the moment and this is so trivial in comparison.

Re: Chest bands
have you had a look at the Asda website - there's some nice pretty post-op bra's that are a little lower cut than the usual sports style! - they might help?

Re: Chest bands
Yes, I've actually got a couple of them already - thanks (and they are super comfortable, I might add). Unfortunately the chest strap has to be worn over the top of the bra in order to force the implants down - and does still show on anything remotely resembling low cut.
But thanks for trying to come up with a solution for me hun
