hate my stretchmarks :(
Hey ladyz
I had my BA 3 weeks ago and I am really happy with them but the stretch marks that were there previously due to pregnancy are ruining the look! I still feel concious of them because of this reason and Im sure they look worse now. When I look at them in the mirror it really depresses me. Can anybody relate to this??? I would be so happy with my body image if it wasnt for them and the ones on my stomach...I just find them so unattractive!
xx

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
Awwww hun i got them on my boobs to through pregnancy little silver ones and since my BA you can see them much more and in the first couple of weeks more so, now im 5 weeks and iv been using Bio Oil since my nurse said it was ok too which was 10 days after my op and you can hardly see them now so im sure yours will fade in time just use coco butter or Bio Oil everyday and this will help with stretch marks ( Ask your ps or nurse before using any oils or creams on your boobs as i dint know how you have healed and would hate to be telling you do to something you should be .. See i held pretty well and my incision was healed by 7 days and my nurse said it would be ok to massage oil on my boobs at around day 10 ) Hope this helps hun happy healing

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
Awww miso, don't worry the stretch marks will improve.
I had stretch marks from breast feeding, after my BA they looked worse! really red again! But it did settle hun and the appearance of the marks actually improved as the skin was stretched out!
There's no avoiding stretch marks if your skin is prone to them sweetness, but you can help them by keeping your skin well moisturised. The Bio-oil is good, but I found Palmers cocoa butter just as good. xxx

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
Maybe they just look worse at moment cos they are stretched out over a larger area. Its still early days isnt it. Will prob get used to it. Thanks cookie, will keep moisturising and hope for the best!

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
Question? How come people that are famous don't seem to have stretchmarks no matter how big they go, like Jordan etc? Always baffled me. And its not just make up cos we saw her in the jungle and there were no marks at all!

I dont know ToriLoula but its very frustrating! Never seen any celebrities with stretchmarks?! My boobs and my stretchmarks are the only insecurities Ive had with my body really. Got amazing new boobs but unfortunately the stretchmarks are here to stay. Think they suck tbh.

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
I can totally relate to what your saying hun as im covered in them on my breasts & my tummy.........mine are so deep that no amount of creams or oils will improve them! but in time they do fade to a less noticable colour
Im very aware of them & even went to the lengths of buying boarder swim shorts that cover them for my holiday!............I have a great body (so i have been told he he) flat tummy size 8 , big boobs, but my lovly body is just covered in them..............& i hate them & they make me feel sick but my hubby & family say im mad as they really arnt bothered by them & cant see why they repulse me so much
I have no idea why the celebs dont have them & thats a very , very good Q that i have asked myself over & over again.
My best friend had twins & she has 1 tiny stretchmark that even i cant see! the cow!!! lol but shorly not all celebs are like my friend!?
Big Hugs hun.......I Know how your feeling

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
I have new stretchmarks on the underside of my boobs due to pregnancy that I've never had before - they're not massive but htey do ruin the look a bit! Definitely not loving my pregnancy boobs at the moment and hoping they'll go back to normal pretty soon after I stop breastfeeding! xx

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
Im a Advanced Skincare Therapist and would like to say for the amount you pay for Bio Oil you could spend a little more and get a much better result - Use Vitamin A creams on scarring every day and you will see a huge result. Unfortunately Bio Oil is actually better at preventing scarring than healing it....I am using my Vit A face cream to try and strengthen my skin - I already have stretch marks on them and I have weak skin so I know that I will more than likely get more but considering once they are there you can never fully get rid of them I would much rather do the whole prevention rather than cure thing...The product range I work with is called Environ - They have an A C and E Body Oil that is AWESOME!!!! - although a little pricey, but its worth it.You cant buy it off the internet though so hopefully there is a skin clinic near you?Just google it for your area.

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
Hay Teresamaree................mine are really bad stretchmarks that are deep so if you run your hands across them you feel them go in! How would a cream change that?
I have always though mine are beyond repair a bit off polyfiller maybe

Re: hate my stretchmarks :(
It would help but with stretch marks you will never get rid of them...If they are still pink you can do a fair bit but when they have gone silver you are limited. For example though - With Environ they have a product called a Roll-Cit, Its a roller with tiny needles on it that enhances the penetration of products and creates micro traumas in the skin to encourage collagen production. The combonation of using the "Hydrating Lotion" (An AHA body product), then the "Roll-Cit" and finishing with the "A C and E Body Oil" every day can make massive changes to skin texture, scarring and tone. It does take time and a lil bit of money but Vitamin A is the most amzing thing for skin cells. Hope this is helpful - If you dont have an Environ stockist near you then a range that has a type of needling roller should be strong/effective enough to use. I wouldnt bother buying products that claim to contain Vitamins from the Supermarket and would be dubious about off-the-shelf products form pharmacys etc. They generally only have enough vitamins in them at the time of manufacture to be able to put them on their label - Usually by the time you actually get to use it the vitamins have oxidised and are useless...Also products in pots with vitamins will oxidise quickly because you expose the product to air every time you open it..Hmm I could go on for ever :) Hope this has been helpful girlies!! :cheerlead:
