Re: Final Countdown
Well. I tried to get some rest this afternoon, went to sleep around 4pm and then was then woken up by the phone ringing at 6. I ignored it, but they kept ringing so in the end I got up and it was a cold call trying to get me to switch my telephone company (or something). Couldn't sleep after that so I just got up, made a bite to eat - I wasn't really hungry, but needed something to do. I then unpacked all the stuff I was taking with me and then repacked it again, all the time the excitement was building. Couldn't settle down to watch TV as my mind was racing everywhere. At 10 o'clock I went for a long hot bubble filled bath in the (vain) hope that it would relax me, then washed my hair and styled it (wouldn't go right at first, I must be awfully cak handed tonight for some reason) and now I'm waiting - another 3½ hours before the car arrives for me. No more drinks or food now (except water until 5 am) - getting really bored - but still excited about what should be happening in just a few more hours time.
Sorry everybody, it is helping me rambling on like this, so I crave your indulgence.

No, can't sleep
Every time I close my eyes I just see big boobies, hopefully once I've got them after tomorrow, I won't see another boobie ever again LOL

Re: Final Countdown
I thought I had posted a long message here this morning, but apparently I didn't. I wrote the message saying that my surgery would be around 1:30-2:00 pm, when suddenly the door opened and I was told I had been moved up the list and I was being done there and then - so I must have just switched the thing off in my haste to get to the operating table. I'll write a much fuller account of it later.
When I first came round from the anaesthesia, I did feel some pain, not terrible and fairly easily tolerated - but I did feel as if an elephant had decided to park it's bum on my chest . Apparently I was in theatre for around 2 hours. When I came back to my room I must have dozed in and out of sleep for 3 hours
Just changed out the surgical gown into my pj's - and although there was plenty of room in them last week, the buttons are now almost popping off LOL. I don't really feel poorly in any way, just sore and very tight in the chest area
Love you all
xx

Re: Final Countdown
Great to know your feeling ok Carol!
I told you there wasn't much to be nervous about! The hard part is truly over!
What dressings have you had put on?
Are you staying overnight at the hospital?
What cc did you end up with?

Re: Final Countdown
The driver has just dropped me off at home. I had a little twinge of pain in my lefty boobie this morning at around 3:30 am, but nothing too bad. The nurse gave me some co-codamols and everything was fine within around 20 mins.
I have the Inspira with a volume of 420 mls in both and they are the TRX type (extra full projection. They are a D size at the moment, but hopefully they will 'fluff' to bring me up to the DD size. Very tight, high and hard at the moment - but It's amazing looking down and seeing two breasts jutting out of my chest instead of pimples
Thank you everybody for your good wishes, it really did mean a lot to me knowing that I had support here.
