Final Countdown
Well, just 3 days to go before the big day. Started taking my course of Arnica tablets this morning and then, just after lunch (a few minutes ago), THG phoned me to tell me that the car will call to collect me between 4and 4:30 am on Tuesday morning. She was super nice and made me feel very calm - but as soon as I put the phone down, my butterflies went into hyperdrive and are doing some amazing things down in my tum. I'm buzzing at the moment, feel as light as a feather and if a slight breeze were to spring up, I would be blown hither and thither.
I'm so excited

Re: Final Countdown
I know, I can't believe it's finally just about to happen.
Not sure if it's worth going to bed on Monday night though as I would have to be up at around 2:30 am in order to get ready. As I have an appointment with my PS on Monday morning at 11:30 am, I think I'll try and get some sleep on Monday afternoon/evening then get up, have a nice long soak in the bath, wash my hair and then get ready. I just hope there are some good early morning television programs being broadcast on Monday night lol - not that I'll be able to take anything in.
xx

Re: Final Countdown
I know chicks lol. I'm still far too excited to go to bed, I know it would be impossible to drop off - just wish I could as it would be another 8 hours nearer. I guess I'm an addict here, although not in status yet (but if I can't get to sleep soon, I soon will be lol).

Re: Final Countdown
haha that's really funny. Well deserved!
I'll be on my 8th day of 12 hour shifts when I fly home from work early evening & then have to be at the hospital 6am the next day. It's craziness but am hoping exhaustion will give me a few hours sleep :)

Re: Final Countdown
Well, it's about 25 hours now before the car arrives to collect me. I went to bed about 2 hours ago, but just couldn't sleep. Final appointment with my PS tomorrow morning to finalise my decision about type (Inspira vs Anantomicals etc) and to ask him a few final questions. I'll probably try and get some sleep tomorrow afternoon as it is the middle of the night when the car will collect me.
I think the excitement is turning into panic now

Re: Final Countdown
I would try to go to bed even if it is just to rest - you never know you may drop off for an hour - just make sure you set 2 or 3 alarms. We had to get up at 2am to go to airport last week and didn't think I would sleep - but was in a really deep sleep when alarm went off - my husband was already awake and thought it was funny when I jumped out of bed in a panic!
Good luck x

Re: Final Countdown
Thanks jellytot1.
Like yourself, I finally dropped off at around 6 am into a really deep sleep, but my alarm clock (on my mobile phone) went off at 7:45 - so a just rested a while before I finally got up at 8:15. Now I'm out of the shower, I'm feeling a little better. I will definitely go back to bed at around 4pm and try and sleep for a while, then, as long as I get up at 10pm, I should be OK to have a light meal (don't think I would be able to face anything too substantial) - so it will probably be a poached egg on toast.
I set off to see my PS for my final consultation in about an hour and this time I have a lot more questions for him (I know, a bit late in the day lol).
Thanks hun xx

Re: Final Countdown
Well, I've just been to see Michael - at least he has warm hands, I think I would have shot through the ceiling otherwise lol.
It was a really good consultation. He explained in full detail what I could expect and what I couldn't and I think I'm going to be very pleased with the results. I will be one of the first tomorrow morning apparently, so it looks like I will be able to have a long rest afterwards. I think I am ready now - a lot calmer (although just a few tingles of excitement still ripple through my body)
