strange question but ..
Iv used tanning injections (melanotan II) the last few summers and just wondered if I would be able to use them again now i have implants? I know alot of people disagree and worry about there side affects but they stop me from using sunbeds much and give me a much better tan so Id much rather use them. I just dont know if they will have any impact on my implant even though they only goin into the skin??
Thanks :)
Oh by the way I love the snow falling as I type :)!

Re: strange question but ..
Hi Georgie ...I dont personally know anyone who uses melanotan, only heard of it but im really interested. I stopped using sunbeds on a regular basis about 4 yrs ago and now permanently use fake tan but find it a chore.
If you dont mind me asking how often do you need to top up and how much does it cost? I really dont know much about it at all so any info would be great. Thanks...x

Re: strange question but ..
Just read up on malanotan 2, I noticed the ad at the top of this page!
Maybe im a bit of a wimp but i dont know if i could self inject so many times...i presumed it would only involve 1 injection!
Liquid sun europe claim the needle is so fine it wont hurt...is this true?..x

The needles dont hurt I put inject it into my bum cos thers more fat! I pay £30 a bottle which is a course. Iv never heard of liquid sun europe though so cant comment!

Re: strange question but ..
As they dont know the long term affects on your body, it's anyones guess really. It is not illegal to import, use or own, but it is illegal to sell. I did find this :
I also would never have a spray tan after having seen my friends horrible reaction to it. Swollen and red everywhere. Yuk
But that's just my opinion, just be careful girls.
taken from hereA 2009 paper on unlicensed "melanotan" products, sold on the internet, has reported that the products caused moles to darken and increase in size over a short period, "an early warning sign of skin cancer".[25][26][27][28] Academic researchers at Liverpool John Moores University specialized in performance-enhancing drugs published an editorial in the British Medical Journal suggesting that use of 'melanotan I and II', "could damage the immune and cardiovascular systems as well as triggering other problems".[29]

I just noticed that ad for liquid sun Europe above and I would like to add that those ads at the top of the page are google ads and are nothing to do with the forum. BJSF DO NOT endorse any of the websites / products in those ads.
Thanks girls, be careful xxx

Re: strange question but ..
Iv heard of all the side effects..ther was even an itv programme on it becoming more popular but it saves me hitting the sunbeds hard so I see it better for me but thats just me. I cant find anywhere what it could do to a breast implant though!

Re: strange question but ..
I use MT2 and DONT USE IT for a year after surgery. I had a big scratch on my leg a few years ago and the MT2 made it go so dark it’s taken years to fade my friend had the same type of thing she was using it and fell over at the races an she still has a dark mark were she fell. I didn’t use it for 3 mths pre BA and i defiantly won’t be using it for at least a year after.

Re: strange question but ..
Oh and It’s not a fatty injection it’s meant to be put just under the skin with an incline pin either just above your bum (love handles) or in the side of your knee. It doesn’t hurt (makes you feel bit sick for the first week but) you are meant to load for 2 weeks (one injection everyday) and then maintain (1 shoot per week) then when your about the colour you want swap to once a fortnight. You still need to go into the sun or a sunbed to activate the tan (you just won’t burn)
Site affects are: little black dots (these do go away) some people get them some don’t, suppressed appetite, and increased sex drive. My one warning is keep you face out of the sun/sun bed and put sunscreen on, as your face tend to get ALOT darker than the rest of your body and you will look like a gollywog .

Re: strange question but ..
I did the loading phase a few times so keep doing it! Im not too good at keeping up with things! I have to put the full needle into the skin (its an insulin needle) should do it in the stomach but can do it in any fatty area.
Thank you! Well thats me back to the fake tan for a year! yeah I thought it mite darken the scars as it does my freckles, dont want that! I got quite bad sickness off the last session so did it before bed it helped alot! Thanks hun xxx

Re: strange question but ..
No worries :flowers:
Im back on the fake tan too
But its not worth having black scars for years. I have been taking it for about 4 years and I love the stuff I always do it on a full tummy before bed its normally the first week you feel sick while you hormones adjust.
