Opinions Please
Although I've not booked my BA yet but will be in the next few weeks, I am scared stiff of the operation. I know that I will do it but I was wondering what your opinions are about being hypnotized so that I don't fear the op?
Once I have made the decision over which surgeon and size I was good to see a lady to help me out.
What do you think or has anyone done this? And if I do would you like me to keep you all posted as to how I get on?

Re: Opinions Please
I think that if YOU think it will help then there's no harm in giving it a go babe.
I can't say for sure whether or not you'll benefit from it, but I do believe in a positive attitude giving you strength to get through fear, so if hypnotism sends you away feeling more positive about your surgery, that's a good thing IMO. xx

Re: Opinions Please
Have t say hun im not into hypnosis.............I dont people messing with my mind! but if you ok with that then i guess its worth a try.
I was terrified of having my B.A & was so scared i cried when i was on the table, my heart was raceing & i had that 'erge' to run away! but the staff in the theater were fantasic & really helped bless them they kept talking to me & asking me Q's trying to distract me but i was soooo scared i couldnt even answer them!.
from the time i went in I was on the table maybe a minute before they tried to Knock me out so you dont really get that much chance to say No I cant do it.
I have to say I think i done well giving the fact that i put off my hernia op for over a year & then ended up having to have it done as a emergancy because i was to scared to scared of having a op!
That to me proves how far youll push yourself to get the boobs you have always wanted..........I went through with my B.A but like i say put my hernia op off for as long as possible & that ended up being dangerous!
If yopu want it bad enough hun youll go through with it even if your like me , terrifed of having it done but if hypnosis is going to help you cope with your fear go for it!

This how i know i will be and worse!!
I've had it done before with chocolate and sweets, at the time when i was having it done i was laying on the table thinking 'this is a load of crap and waste of money' but i haven't eaten chocolate since Feb this year, so i'm willing to give it a go. I'm going to ask if she can pacify me so i don't freak out before i go to hospital.
I really want it done and i AM going to have this done but i am **naughty word** myself :tears:

Re: Opinions Please
I personally wouldn't have it done myself but have had friends who've had great results with hypnosis for various things. If YOU think it will benefit you then whats the harm? Go for it I say x

Re: Opinions Please
I'm sure if you have it done just before your op you should be fine, most of the people I know who have had it, it seems to wear off. But it does last a few months.
Re: Opinions Please
I last saw this lady in Feb and it's still working regarding the chocolate. I would propably see her about 2 to 3 weeks before.
It would just be to take the edge off the panic before i go in.

Re: Opinions Please
Go for it hun. Millions of people have felt the benefit from hypnosis. Conquering fears, stopping smoking etc.
Check out David Laing's website. You can buy a CD/DVD of his, he's great. xx

Re: Opinions Please
I should have found somebody to hypnotize me that I actually had boobs. Maybe I could have saved a lot of money. :teehee:
I think you should do it, it can't hurt, after all.
