first consultation, transform
hiya, had my first appointment today with mr khan, transform. He said 340 overs, i'm 34a and would like to be a c. hope they dont look fake, seems quite big as i dont have much breast tissue. Anyone else done this? I really want them to look natural. Was happy with mr khan, he seems to know his stuff bt not sure about transform, been hearing bad things. May go and see bmi as theres one fairly local. Does anyone have any experience with clinics/surgeons in the south of england?X

Re: first consultation, transform
I went to see Mr Khan today. He was very to the point & formal.
Iv also heard bad things about their aftercare. It sounded fine to me today when they explained everything but who knows...
Im going to MYA on the 16th to see Mr Singh. Once Iv decided who I want to go with I will see if they do private work.
Not sure what 340 would be, but after looking at a 410 today that doesnt sound to big.

Re: first consultation, transform
I left about 10.30..
They have a few different clinics, one im going to is in Brighton. Only reason I booked in with Transform originally was to see mr singh but turns out hes not working there anymore.. Mr khan was also on my list so it worked out ok.
Does anyone know what the main problems have been in regards to Transforms aftercare?

Re: first consultation, transform
hello
i don't know transform but i had three consultations before deciding to go with mybreast (in london but i think they do south england too.) they do a lifetime aftercare package which covers rupture and capsular contracture and unlimited appointments afterwards with the surgeon who does your op. and they were very patient when i called with more questions, and i had a second consultation on the phone (my choice, because it was more convenient, though i could have gone in again) with the surgeon who will be doing the op ( i haven't had it yet!)
i did lots of research for qualified surgeons, but although the first surgeon i saw had all the right qualifications he didn't seem very interested and i felt like i was on a conveyor belt. i also wanted to see if another surgeon would recommend the same size/method etc. the second surgeon i saw (with mybreast) recommended exactly the same -- 270 anatomicals under the muscle because i'm 32 aa and skinny without much breast tissue and didn't want to go bigger than b/c -- but he had a much nicer manner, and really took his time talking to me about what i wanted. and i got to try on a bra with different sizes of implants.
i know i haven't had the surgery yet but i've been made to feel very comfortable with mybreast. whatever you decide to do, you really want to feel like the surgeon and the company you go with have got your best interests at heart.
good luck!

I have filled in a booking form with Mybreast. I am unsure on which surgeon to go with though.

Re: first consultation, transform
Hi I went with Transform, luckily I have had no complications soI've never had to call on their aftercare package. It's such a shame they are letting themselves down with this as they have wonderful surgeons. Just goes to show when a company puts money and greed before patient aftercare, they've only sealed their own fate. I'm not sure that mybreast's aftercare is life long, I think they put a time limit on it for certain things like CC and rupture. But its still really good.
Re: first consultation, transform
Just had a quick check on the aftercare for mybreast and it states
It doesn't state how long it covers you for rupture or CC so I'd make sure you get it in writting. Not that they aren't trustworthy, but it's always best to have it.
Taken from hereUnlike other providers, we believe our commitment to you extends beyond surgery. We offer a lifetime aftercare policy for each of our patients, including all your post-operative check-ups and unlimited appointments with a surgeon five or even 10 years following your surgery.

Re: first consultation, transform
I went with Transform 6 years ago for my first and MyBreast 3 weeks ago for 2nd and mybreast were so much better in so many respects than Transform. They'd win in a fight hands down.
MyBreast was actually created as an alternative to the traditional commercial clinics such as Transform.
The way I understood their aftercare was unlimited free consults with surgeon post op, if you have Nagor then the implants themselves come with lifetime guarantee against rupture and cc and you'd get free replacements from Nagor but could incur surgical costs outside of the MyBreast 5-10 year thing...if that makes sense.
But nothing's black and white so I'm starting a boobie fund just incase!

Re: first consultation, transform
I'm sure that Adam Topping works in the Surrey area for MyBreast. Their clinic is in Brighton as well, at least i'm sure it is. I'm seeing him on the 29th November in London. A few ladies on there have used him and they sound more than happy with him. He's been on telly a few times as well.

I've also read that he keeps the scars small and neat.
