At least you got a letter I was chasing paperwork for ages after booking my op. I'd rather have too much in writing. At least you know they haven't forgotten you!

Good luck!
I am sure all will go well. Hope
I am calm enough to post before my turn in Sunday. Are you in overnight?
Not in overnight. I think most of the Dr's do it as an out paitient procedure and mine acutually does it in his office. The only one I know that does, but I'm feeling great :good: I have a pain pump that distributes marcaine into the chest area through a cathidar. I'm so excited for the end result!!! I cannot wait!

Me too! I had to ask for a reciept when I'd paid my balance....all I got was a copy of the invoice with "paid" written on it!!! I have everything confirmed in email so not too worried, but it would be nice to have it in writing!!

I am! I am! A little more sore today than yesterday of course, but it's not too bad. Just annoying sleeping on the back How long does this last? I sure love my fetal position and snuggling up with my DH

Re: December Buddies!
Hiya cant believe how g8 I feel, the pain is nowhere near as bad as what i had anticipated so i am so chuffed to bits!!! The painkillers are good but it feels like something is sitting on my chest? I am sleeping on a slope too and in the hospital it was fab but at home its harder to get comfy, never mind it will be all worth it.

I've peeked, but only at the cleavage because I cant take off the bra for another day or two. It's deffinitely strange seeing all that down there I cant wait to take this bra off and do the unveiling, lol. They are very itchy though, and I'm dying for a shower, but all in good time The pain by the way, is not as bad as I would've thought. Just a lot of pressure and like i worked out really hard. My ribs were hurting this morning, but I think that was just from laying propped up. Oooooo so annoying. Absolutely, positively worth it though

Vmac sounds like you are doing really well. And keep that nice weather going over there as I am going to Florida for the Christmas holidays .

Re: December Buddies!
Lucky! I've never been to Florida, but sounds like lots of fun What a great way to celebrate. I'm still doing good pain wise, but the sleepless thing is getting to me Yesterday I woke up at 12 a.m and didnt get back to sleep until 2 and here it is 3 a.m. & I've been up since 2:30, lol. I guess it's a good thing I found this forum huh?

Re: December Buddies!
I'm hoping the not sleeping thing will be ok as I dont need loads of sleep and I am used to broken nights with the kids. I can sleep on my back so fingers crossed I'll be ok. How long do you need to sleep propped up for?
I'm not sleeping well now nerves are kicking in I think!

Re: December Buddies!
I'm thinking of sleeping in my armchair recliner for a few nights as I can adjust it to a comfortable position and the arms should stop me from rolling onto my side (I tend to sleep in the foetal position - all curled up like a baby hedgehog lol). Has anybody tried this and was it OK??

When I stay at my parents im going to be sleeping in a electronic recliner chair... I figure its got to be easier than trying to prop myself up on a bed. I also sleep on my side legs curled up.

Re: December Buddies!
So I have done my lasts bits of
Shopping. Got Magazines to read pj's etc
Now have to clean the house and pack tomorrow as I have to leave at 6.30 on Sunday morning. Hopefully we
Won't get anymore snow. I think rain is forecast so
My worries about the weather meaning my
Op would be cancelled are just about gone. Am feeling nervous and excited. I worry my hopes are too high and they won't turn out as expected. I am not looking forward to traveling and doing the while thing on my own. But my oh has to look after the kids and they wouldn't like to see me in hospital anyway. I was rushed in earlier this year for emergency surgery with a ruptured cyst and they found that really difficult. So I would rather be on my Own than see them upset especially as this is my choice to do this. Anyway I think I am rambling!!! Just getting stuff of my chest!

Re: December Buddies!
Bebe - you can have a shallow bath as long as you don't get any of your insicions wet. At least it's winter....I can't imagine how gross it would feel to be swollen and grubby in the hot summer!!!
Just noticed, you're op is on a Sunday. I didn't think they'd operate on a Sunday.....don't know why not!!
