Re: December Buddies!
Are front fastening bra's like the zip one m&s do best or back fastening? Haven't bought any yet! And I have to get pj's too!

Re: December Buddies!
The m&s extra high impact zip ones were recommended to me by my surgeon as well as other girls here. I have been told that I will have strapping on for at least a week so won't need my bras straight away but can wear them if I want. I think I will want to as it'll feel odd not having one on!!!

Re: December Buddies!
I bought two from M&S (size DD) and just bought two post surgical bras from Asda online (size E) - so I should be able to exchange them when I find out my final size.

Re: December Buddies!
I have only bought 2 a 34DD and a 36DD. Everyone says to get a bigger band because of swelling. I will buy more if I need them after.
Jellytot - I would think 2 would be enough to start with - one to wear one to wash? Also our boobs will change so much as they heal I'm sure different sizes will have to be bought! My PS told me to buy several sizes and leave the labels on so I can take back/exchange the ones that don't fit!

Re: December Buddies!
Oops!....looks like I might have gone a bit mad with getting my 2 zip front 34DD (1 black, 1 white, both a band size up), and 3 fancy (but cheap) post-op bras from Asda then?

Re: December Buddies!
Provided you don't remove any tags and have kept the receipts you should have no problems returning them. If you no longer have the receipts, you still should be able to exchange them or get a credit note. Check with the stores returns policy (if they have a web site, you should be able to look up their returns policy online)

Re: December Buddies!
Jellytot - not at all! I will probably end up with a few Asda ones but not until I'm a few weeks post op. Did you buy the flowery one from Asda?

Re: December Buddies!
Although a friend is lending me a couple of high impact sports bras (she's pregnant so doesn't need them for a while) I still bought a
M & S zip up bra last week - when the cashier asked if I had tried it on (34AA) I said No it is for a present, can I have a gift receipt!!!
Am getting really quite scared now - frightened of surgery, frightened of boobs being too big for my frame, frightened of complications - anyway else feel like this or am I just being a party pooper!

Re: December Buddies!
I'm sure we all do jellytot1. One minute my tummy is doing somersaults with excitement, then I'm plagued with self doubt about the type I've decided to go for and whether or not it is the right decision, then I worry about complications and how I will cope with any pain - then I look down at my sorry excuse for boobies and get all excited about having it done. It goes round and round in my head - I just can't stop thinking about the things. I don't know what a psychiatrist would make of it - probably just recommend Bedlam or some place similar.

Re: December Buddies!
I just wish I could jellytot, but I think I'm one of those alcohol intolerant people - just a small glass would make me quite legless, so I just don't drink - safer for everybody that way

You summed up my feelings exactly. I worry about being selfish the cost the risks if things go wrong all for my vanity. But then next thing I'm all excited! The whole process is an emotional rollercoaster for me!

Re: December Buddies!
Don't worry girls I am also swinging from really excited to absolutely terrified! I just keep thinking that I am putting myself through a general anaesthetic and what if....I know it's *so* unlikely but there must be some chance of a problem or we wouldn't have to sign a consent form.
OMG It's snowing on the page!! Just noticed!!!

Re: December Buddies!
Ive had a general several times before - its really nothing to worry about (and definately not as stressful as an epidural either!) The worst bit about it is that it messes with your emotions for a few days afterwards - turns you into a moody hormonal teenager again! Lol Some people can feel a bit sick after too - but that doesn't usually last long!

The good thing about GA is at least it only feels like you have been out for a minute even if it has been a couple of hours!
