Pins and Needles
New day...new 'issue'
Woke up this morning with pins and needles in my left hand. I hadn't slept on it as it's too uncomfortable with my armpit surgery to remove a lymph node.
I'm wondering if it's related to that surgery or the implant. Maybe the surgeon hit a nerve or something?
Anyone else experienced this?

Re: Pins and Needles
Now you mention it I noticed I had pins and needles in my right hand quite a few times didn't register that it could be a problem and doesn't happen often now just thought it was down to me not sleeping in my usual position. Probably got something to do with the healing process for the nerves. Perhaps ask your clinic if you are concerned

I was getting it too, I put it down to sleeping propped up and I also slept with a v pillow around my waist so my arms were elevated a bit... maybe thats why?
If its moving and coming and going it shouldnt b anything to worry about.

Re: Pins and Needles
I'm not overly propped up anymore and I've been on my right for a few nights. I'm just going with my body, if it was uncomfortable I wouldn't do it.
I am relieved that the left had eased, didn't really want to have to contend with nerve damage in my armpit...I know it's a very 'nervey' area.

Re: Pins and Needles
Pins and needles are absolutely a nerve thing. With a BA the nerves get stretched out a little more than they are used to (stretching over the implant). Some of he nerves around the chest follow down into the arm hence the pins and needles in your arm, maybe some numbness too. You say this sensation is in your hand, you may also notice that your pinky finger and the ring finger next to it feel worse/odd? if they do then this is definitely a nerve thing! - don't worry, it will pass within a few weeks.
