bloating is driving me nuts!!!
Hi Girls :)
So I am healing well (although i must say I am starting to get restless as I just want to put on a normal bra to see how they look) but i will hold back :)
Anyway I am wondering if anyone has any tips on getting rid of the bloating? its sooo annoying, I look 4 months pregnant hahaha! I have been drinking those pro biotic drinks and making sure I drink plenty of water with fresh lemon squeezed in but this hasnt helped with my bloating.... its been one nearly one week since my operation and I am only taking the medium level pain killers at night and panadol during the day but I am wondering if any tricks to get rid of the bloating? I feel huge :(

Just bare in mind that the bloating is only a temporary side effect hun and will disperse as you get back to normal. Focus on getting yoursef well sweetness, your tummy, although not pretty for any of us to have bloating isn't a problem.
Try going for walks and ensuring you correct your posture if you find yourself stooping this all helps. xx

Thanks girls :)
I started going for short walks today so I will keep that up, and just give me body time to recover from the op, then my big tummy will hopefully go away hehe :)

Is bloating a common side effect from the surgery and/or drugs? X

Re: bloating is driving me nuts!!!
Hi Decisions,
I found the tummy discomfort to be the worst! It took me a bout 10 days until I was feeling normal in my tummy!
Even the antibiotics and anti inflammitorries upset my stomach... R u still on the Celebrex? It is hard on the tummy!
I ate a few prunes each day to make sure I was using the loo each day, and I drank pepermint tea (as per advise I was given here) and I took anti-gas tablets I picked up from the chemist which did help a bit with wind.
IT is totally normal and will be gone soon!

Re: bloating is driving me nuts!!!
Thanks everyone :) I am onto my last diegesic tablets (medium strength pain tablets) so hopefully once they are out of my system I will start to feel a bit more normal, I will keep up drinking the peppermint tea too, I am starting to feel a little less roud today which is good :)

Re: bloating is driving me nuts!!!
When I saw my clinic nurse 9 days post op and mentioned my stomach although it had gone done a bit by that point she said it was because of the anesthetic and drugs and would take a few weeks before i got back to normal, I am ok now but still find that carbs really still bloat me so try and avoid them if possible.
