Pre Op question
Hello Ladies,
I'm a bit confused at what a pre op entails.....i've had my consultation and then follow up appointment with my surgeon.....I've been calling to get in a nother appointment with him to show him more pics..but noone has gotten back to me AND ive paid in full already for my surgery which is Nov 9th now....my question is am i suppose to set up another appointment or will they call me in for a "pre-op" appointment....i'm so confused...also i know you have to have bloodwork and stuff done...when can i expect that information to be given to me..i mean maybe i'm being impatient, but i would at least like them to call me back! ugh its so frustrating!

Re: Pre Op question
I was called for a pre op appointment with the nurse and that was when blood was taken, blood pressure checked, height weight and pre op photos. I had it 2 weeks before my op. If you want to see your surgeon again you'll have to have a seperate appointment.

Re: Pre Op question
Not everyone does a pre-op appointment, there are quite a few ladies here whos clinics haven't felt it necessary.
If you do have one as kittie says, you'll just have your height and weight checked to ensure you have a safe BMI, your pre-ops pics will be taken and if after going through your medical history its felt necessary other tests will also be done at this time such as blood tests, ECG etc.
You will have to make a seperate appointment to see the surgeon. xx

Re: Pre Op question
Hi, I was given my pre-op appointment over the phone, they rang me. The nurse took photos or my pre-op boobies. Took at MRSA swab (up my nostrils) and blood samples. They were checking for iron deficiencies and kidney function. I had my pre-op 4 weeks before my op. You should give the clinic a call and check xx
