Does your surgeon advise you which cc to have?
Everyone here seems to have a really clear idea about whether they should have overs / unders, round / anatomical, and what cc size!.....I haven't a clue?
I've got my first consultation next week, and have got some pictures of the kind of size / shape I want to go for (about a 34D/DD) natural....should I have more of an idea about details before I see the surgeon?

I didnt have any idea. The surgeon recommended what I should have according to the look you tell them you are after.

I showed my surgeon pics of the look I wanted. He then gave me a choice of implants and I tried them, I thought they were too small and went with the next size up. He advised overs and told me the reasons why. He explained the possible complications and I was happy with the implant choice style and profile

I had no idea about cc surgeon should advise what will get the size you're after. Was convinced I wanted anatomical tho but surgeon didn't advise that and went with round unders. Was always convinced round wouldn't look natural but they can do. And so far (only 3 days post op) really really happy with size and shape.

I knew I wanted resonably big boobs but had no clue about CC's, profiles ect. Once your PS knows the look you want they can then advise on everything else. xx

I told the surgeon what look I wanted, and left the decision making to him x

Re: Does your surgeon advise you which cc to have?
I went for my consultation with the idea of having anatomical unders... I ended up with round overs :D My surgeon advised me on the sort of size that would suit my frame, but said I had the option of going bigger if I really wanted to. He showed me lots of different implants and explained the differences between high, low and moderate projection. He explained why I should go for overs due to the amount of breast tissue I had - saying there would be enough to cover them and if I went with unders I ran the risk of ending up with a 'double bubble' effect (where the implant sits high on the chest wall and the existing breast tissue hangs underneath) Ultimately the choice was mine and I went a little bigger than was advised... I'm glad I did and I'm delighted with the result.
So yes, I'd say go there with a rough idea in your head of what you want to achieve, but also an open mind... afterall, they know their boobies!
