Just a question for any of you that have had to have a reop for a ruptured implant, did you have to go without any implants for a while? Saw my PS yesterday and he said that he would have the replacements there but it might not be possible to put them back in at the same time depending on how bad the inside is.. gutted! Anyone else had the same thing?

Hi bumble...i havn't had my re-op yet but have got a date booked. Although my surgeon didnt say anything like this to me, I have heard of others who were advised the same. I know when the ruptured implants are removed the pocket is then thoroughly washed out before replacements are inserted...I wonder what "how bad" the inside means. I know i would be gutted if i had to go without for weeks...my 1st surgeon suggested that he could reduce my cost by £500 if i got my pips removed by nhs, give myself 6 weeks to heal, then go back to him for replacement...i said no way!..x

6 weeks? I was told up to 6 MONTHS! Can't even think about being without for that long!
