Yes deffo cover your scars and be careful how long you go on for. The skin in the whole area around your boobs has been stretched so is v sensitive. I got a bit burned on my boobs a good 6 months post op and had to put up with peeling skin rather than nice brown skin!

You'll be fine to go on the sunbed now hunni, but as Sally said, it may be best to keep your boobies covered with a towel or something initially and just expose your boobs a little at at a time. Definately keep your scars covered all the time though till up to a year post-op as it could effect the skin pigmentation in the scarring and leave you with a dark coloured scar sweetness. xxx

My comment wasn't intended to be catty in the slightest and I apologies if it came across this way.
This is a great support forum and I wouldn't want to turn it into a bi*ching site

I went on at about 5 weeks milliepig (couldnt stand it any longer lol)i started off with a towel over my whole boobie area then gradually shrank it down to plasters on my scars then from about 2 weeks ago i started going on without plasters - all fine. I find sunbed heals me quicker if i have any spots or cuts or anything so you'll be fine

happy tanning

I agree for the first year covering the scars is so important. In the first 3months at lest I think its advisable to cover the whole boob area as like sally and cookie have said the skin has been stretched and is very sensetive. xx

I used those winkies (stickers for your eyes) that you can buy from the salon they cost about 20p. i use these specifically because i know they block the UV rays out completely. I did have areola incision so they fit perfectly over my scars but they are a good couple of inches long - so they might fit over crease scars.
