Which is worse?
I have a 5 year old and had an episiotomy and stitches, and it was horrible to recover from . Personally, I think giving birth is harder to recover from, just wondered what other ladies with kids think?

For me definitely giving birth by a long shot! I had the same as you and found it very difficult to sit down for at least 2 weeks.

Re: Which is worse?
I was very lucky, I had a really easy labour, and i still say that giving birth is way worse than having a BA. A BA is a walk in the park compared to childbirth. xx

Re: Which is worse?
even tho i was in agony for about a week and felt like i was being crushed to death by my new boobs which was very scary lol i still think giving birth was way worse, especially giving birth to twins with no pain relief as the epidural wouldnt work!! i rememeer thinking i was going to die from that birth lmao!! x

Re: Which is worse?
I've had natural childbirth and its very painful but fortunately didn't last long so I would hope that its not worse than that lol. I also had alot of stitches after my 1st baby and that was so uncomfortable.
If having a BA is not as bad as the aftermath of having a baby, soreness engorgement etc then I don't know what I'm worried about because I've been through that 3 times. x

Re: Which is worse?
I've also gone through natural childbirth twice, once also a twin delivery like vicky2706, (my labours came on really suddenly, so I had no time for any pain relief) and OMG it was painful....quick but painful. So having my ba was a walk in the park compared to labour. xx

Re: Which is worse?
its not a like for like comparison.
Giving birth is much much more painful, but barring any complications, is quick to recover from.
I stayed in bed and didnt lift the kids for much longer after my boob job, although it wasnt that bad.
Just different things

Re: Which is worse?
Another twin delivery here too! With no drugs... just gas & air.
For me this whole BA thing has been a breeze! I actually believed I was going to die during childbirth!... that was bout 10,000,000 times worse.

Re: Which is worse?
Giving birth was easy for me, 2 children, no compliations, minimal pain, easy peasy.
BA - nightmare, pain was terrible after day 3 until day 7. Felt awful burning stabbing pain behind my left nipple, couldnt sleep OMG was really bad. When I went for my 1 week check I realised I wasnt taking my meds properly so that was the reason I felt so much pain. But, I'd do it all again in the morning if I had to (hopefully I wont lol). Just keep taking the tablets and you'll be fine and dandy!! x

Re: Which is worse?
If child birth is easier then thats good news.
I've had two boys, with no drugs, no gas and air. I had 15 stiches with the 1st and 24 with the 2nd. I was wearing jeans by the end of the 1st week and was v naughty and started driving my son to school 2 days after having my 2nd son. But then again I drove him to school while i was in labour because it was easier to have him at school than hanging around the house while i'm groaning and puffing about.
My husband says they don't make many like me.....I think he means i'm stupid!

Re: Which is worse?
Hi Jessica,
It's not as bad as we're making out. Once it's over, the relief is so great that you forget the pain. You know it hurts but it's like it's wiped from your memory.
It's just like having a big poo

You will be fine hun its a bearable pain cos you know you are getting something good at the end of it and if it was that bad people would only ever have 1 and I wouldn't have done it 3 times cos I'm a bit of a wuss when it somes to pain.
I wonder if thinking about my BA like that will make it bearable cos I'm getting something good at the end of that too x

Re: Which is worse?
haha jess, it isnt that bad. Well it is at the time, but its so worth it.
My last two I had at home on my living room floor with no pain relief. One of them weighed 10lb but its an amazing experience even though its painful.
