Should I be worried???????
A bit of a long story this.....I think I wrote on here that Iwas told by my PS to lay on my front and put pressure on 1 boob then the other everyday, to keep them soft. I did until I was about 3 months post op butthen stopped. When I went back a couple of weeks ago my ps told me I should keep doing it for 6 months.
I started it again but it really hurt my right one, it sort of felt like I had been punched and aches under my nipple. Contacted Mybreast and spoke to a woman there who was at one of the consultations I went on and she said Mr S is on holiday but go easy with the exercises until she has spoken with him..
Imagine my surprise this morning when I answered my phone and my PS was on the other end!!!!!
We had a chat and he said its quite normal which is good. Towards the end of the convo he said about me only being 3 months post Op and when I said I was 4 months he told me I should make an appt to go back and see him, he said he on holiday for another 2 weeks but will be back after the to put my mind at rest.
I am a natural born worrier, but why when he thought I was 3 months it was ok but when I told him I was 4 he has told me to go back????

I've heard of 'some' surgeons using this method to help avoid capsular contracture (this would be what your surgeon meant when talking of keeping your boobs soft), but not all surgeons feel this is necessary to your recovery, if your boobs are nice and soft and there is no distortion I'd ask your surgeon if the excercise is felt to be essential to your recovery if it's causing you so much discomfort hunni. xxx
