1 MTH CHECK UP
Hi All,
had my 1 month post check up on friday night and all is good thank god. The Mondor's cord under the right breast had almost disappeared and the scars a looking better. My PS mentioned I might get some spitting stitches so will have to research this on here.
Have the all clear for the Gym and back to work in the pool.
Just thought I'd let you all know.

Re: 1 MTH CHECK UP
Great to hear the mondors cord is settling hun!
With splitting stitches sometimes a stitch will work itself to the surface, or the ends of the stitch will pop out. This will sometimes manifest itself as a red spot that peaks in the same way a pimple would, and then once it's out it will
heal.
It can be painful, but it's typically not serious.
Sometimes splittling stiches can appear months after your surgery, even after you think everything has healed! If you do get any stitches that appear in this way just make an appointment with your clinic nurse or surgeon to take them out for you.
Enjoy your gym and pool work again babe, but just ease yourself in gradually hunni. xxx

Thankyou just read the info, I hope I don't get any spitting stitches asI am a swimming teacher and in the pool 5 days a week so all those kids and possible infection scares me a bit.

Re: 1 MTH CHECK UP
I swim katita and dealt with splitting stitches.. I was told not to use the pool or the spa or sauna or any public place till all was healed hunni... you'll know if a stitch is coming through babe so if you notice one, just call your clinic to have it removed and they'll advise you from there hun. xx

Thanks Cookie,
My PS said if I see one poke through to just snip the end off myself but not pull it out, he also said I may not get any at all, so fingers crossed that is the case, I really can't miss any more work.
