Re: Pre op check!!!
Don't panic geordieprincess, I didn't have a pre-op either, although I did have an MRSA swab. I also contacted Mr Liew because I was concerned about not having one, he said as I was healthy I didn't need one, only the MRSA.
Did everything go well today hun? Not long to go now. xx

Re: Pre op check!!!
Hi girls
I can understand not having bloodwork ect
but not the mrsa swab
I was told twice before I travelled down there
that it would be done on the day of my 2nd
consultation
I wasn't very happy to be honest, as the hospital
is 200 miles away and I can't go back down now
until the 19th when I have my op
I am not happy to go ahead unless they arrange
a mrsa swab at the clinic up here in Newcastle
it's not fair to pay out all that cash and take the
risk
so hopefully when I ring on mon something can be sorted x

Re: Pre op check!!!
Totally agree with you on the MRSA hun. It's something that should be done. Did you not ask about it whan you had your last consult?
Hopefully they will be able to arrange for it to be done at your clinic there. Good luck. xx

Re: Pre op check!!!
I thought everyone had these tests. I had urine, blood, ECG and Blood pressure. I didn't know some people don't have the tests. x

Re: Pre op check!!!
did they ask you if you have been in a hospital in the last 6 months, transform asked me this and i said no, so they didnt feel the need to do an mrsa swab? so maybe that mite be the reason you didnt have the swab?? xx

Re: Pre op check!!!
No they didn't ask me that Hun
just said there was no need for any tests
but I'm not accepting that
as I have had mrsa In my nose three years
ago when I was at beauty collage and had to
have bactroban cream
so I'm def not taking any chances
I think it's shocking all the money u pay to
go private and they won't even perform simple
routine checks :( x
