Spire-what next?
Advice and help needed and some tissues please from you girls who know my story and have seen my pics! Basicly Spire have said I had no problem last year and if I wanted to see another surgeon it would be another fee. Think their aftercare is shocking as they also said if there was a problem they would only pay for the cost of the implant! So could double-bubble have occured in the time since last year and what shall I do next? Shall I write another letter or take the legal route. I'm so upset and my family are furious.

Re: Spire-what next?
What was your after care like? How many years do they cover you for
problems. Yes double bubble could have occured since you seen they last
year. Think you may have to fight them a little, but it seems that way with most companies now. Maybe write it all in a letter first off and see what they say.

HI. Aftercare was see the surgen for the last time four months after your op and that is it. The letter i sent was really detailed and I think with my sugeon being retired now Spire are just not intrested.
I think their aftercare really must be the worst with having topay to see a surgeon which is £150.00!

Re: Spire-what next?
Oh red, I'm sorry to hear you're having problems hunni
They must have a complaints procedure sweetheart, so request who it is that you would send a letter of complaint too, if you haven't done that already.
It really shouldn't matter that your surgeon has since retired hunni, if you have a problem that needs addressing you should be allocated another surgeon to deal with that.
How long are you covered by your aftercare policy with Spire?

Re: Spire-what next?
Hi my letter went through the complaints procedure thats why it took 3wks. It is only the implants that are covered in re-op cost which are the cheapest things too! I really think I'm going to have to contact a solicitor. I cant believe they wont even have a look without wanting paying.

Re: Spire-what next?
I hate to be the bearer of bad news sweetheart and please do contact a solicitor you may be lucky, but I doubt it hun.
If you went ahead with the procedure knowing the risks and what was covered then I very much doubt you'll have a leg to stand on babe, I too tried the legal route after a rupture expanded my breast and I was informed I would have to foot the cost of the additional surgery beyond that of the ruptured implant costs, these clinics are legally water tight hun and it's extrememly difficult to build a case against them, but always worth a try - Good luck hun.xx

Re: Spire-what next?
To be honest I really didnt look too much into aftercare. Have checked a cosmetic surgery solicitor on net and might phone them tomorrow. Just had a row with husband cos he saying what happens if you pay for a re-op and the same or something else happens. Will have to look for company with decent aftercare.

Thanks Cookie. Thanks for your help and support. It's very difficult when you cant talk to people about it-thats why this forum is so good for off-loading. My brother was here when I received the letter-cnt even think what he was talking about because I was ready to explode or cry and couldn't let on why. Will keep you posted.

Re: Spire-what next?
I didn't tell anyone but my immediate family (hubby and kids) about my re-op babe as I was going through enough without 'I told you so's' too so know how important it is to have someone to talk to hun and this place was invaluable to me during that time, so do know how you feel.
Always here for you to offload anytime babe
