Post by MrsF 31st December 2015, 1:45 pm

Hello !

I would like to go to the public swimming pool with my children today. NOT to swim but just to sit in the water and be with them. Cant get through to the PS's office as its closed today, what do you girls think? And I still at risk of infection?

Im 5 weeks 1 day post op. xx

I was told 6 weeks for swimming [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] but it doesn't sound like you will properly be swimming so I reckon you would be fine but every hospital says different thing xxx

Sorry [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] for late reply to post. Did you go swimming?

My ps gave me permission to go into a pool but no actual swimming at 4 weeks. I was going on a short holiday with hubs at 5 weeks. I didn't go in pool though or even submerge boobs in any water till about 10 weeks. I was a little concerned with right incision so didn't risk it xx

I took my little girl to her swimming lesson (me in water with her helping her to swim, but not actually swimming myself) at 4 days post op.  Probably a bit (a lot) daft, but I was fine!
