Swimming? Empty Swimming?

Post by BkozK 1st October 2015, 7:46 pm

Evening ladies,

I want your option please. I'm thinking if taking the kids swimming Sunday but have doubts. I got the all clear to swim gently at 4 weeks but my right side was definitely not ready to be submerged in any water let alone a pool so I haven't. Now that the scab has finally fallen off my right incision my hubby thinks it would be fine. My concern is that I can still feel a little ruff patch where that final scab was. I'm 7 weeks post tomorrow, what do you ladies reckon? Xx

If you're not comfortable don't do it. I was told 12wks for submersion/swimming because of tiny holes that may still be there. The also, are your arms ready for swimming? And are you ready to be surrounded like that where you could get bashed? You've got an all clear, so this is entirely about whether you feel comfortable doing it or not.

Hi yes it's down to how you feel. You have been given the all clear, but that doesn't mean your ready in yourself. If you feel uncomfortable with the thought, then don't do it xxx

I think my arm movement is ok to mess around with my 2 yr old in the baby pool but that's the pool that full of P*ss. It's totally the risk if microscopic holes that's putting me off. I think I'll see on the day, if that ruff patch has gone then possibly, if not hubs can do the playing and I'll sit in cafe and have coffee and cake instead ;-) xx
Thanks ladies xx

I'm warming to my idea of getting my husband to take the girls in to the pool while I sit in the cafe. Can have an hours peace with cake.
lol I bet you did [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Boobs x
I hadn't even thought about how it would feel, weightlessness in water then gravity once out. Hummmm, liking my idea even more.
Right that's it I'm convinced. Not swimming yet, maybe in another couple of weeks xx
