Hi everyone,
Does anyone know how soon after my op it will be before i can go swimming? As much as i hate to be seen in a bikini at the moment i do like to take my little girl swimming regularly and was wondering how long it will be post op b4 i am able to go again. (also cant wait to put a bikini on with some boobies!!!lol) xx

Hi hun, i think its def best to check with your PS on this one as it depends on how your body has healed. I was able to go at 3 weeks but i think the general rule is 6. x

I was able to at 5 weeks but it seems 6 weeks is th general guidline. dont do it without getting th okay frm ur nurse aa it could lead to infection. x

Its usually 6weeks. I've just been away (2weeks post) and was told I could go in the water with waterproof dressing on - but cannot swim. Your not suppose to exercise for 6weeks :(

yeah mr m told me 6 weeks hun



I take my little boy swimming twice a week so feel awful i won't be able to but my friend and her partner have said they'll happily take him and i can watch which i think is really sweet just don't wanna ruin his routine



as for the not exercising think that'll kill me i go to the gym 5 times a week so i can eat what i want lol xx

I dont think i took in anything when i went for my consultation!lol I know he said a lot but at the time i wasnt expecting to be able to book for ages because i didnt think i could afford it ( I was waiting to get some equity from the sale of my house) but then i ended up seeing what the monthly costs would be and what deposit id need and spoke with my bf and b4 i knew it id booked!!! lol Anyway i will make sure i take in more when i go to see him in a month and take a list of questions too xxx

As for the exercise apart from running round after my 16 month old, battling with 2 teenagers and looking after my bf 2 kids at the weekend i dont do ANY exercise!!! Think i will start to do something as of next week tho cos im giving up smoking as of tomorrow so will need to watch i dont pile on too much (altho i could do with a few extra pounds!) xxx
