Post op bra Empty Post op bra

Post by mrskelly 8th December 2015, 7:19 pm

I've been for my pre op today and again I asked about post op bra. As I will have a surgical strap for the week but they said just buy the cheap ones from asda or tesco (£4 she said they were) but I'm worried they won't give me as much support as the Macom. Also I don't even know what size I'm going to be so I can't buy in advance. Should I just buy the Macom???? Help. Xx

Supermarket sports bras will not give you any trype of support. They are cheap for a reason. Just because it looks and smells like a sports bra, doesn't mean the technology and engineering has gone into it.

The macom is designed for its exact purpose - a post op bra.

At the end of the day, its entirely your decision what you go for. But when I get mine done in the coming months, I'm going to opt for the macom, at least for the first 3wks.

Thanks Charlii, that's what I thought and at end of day I've will have paid a lot of money for new boobies so I would rather pay that bit extra to make sure they are looked after properly, it just didn't seem right to me. Xx

The macom's great - it's probably still my favourite / most comfortable bra; I still sleep in it regularly.

I would def go for the macom, when you've spent that much on getting boobs why scrimp on the aftercare SmikeSmike I'm 16 months post op and still wear my macom during days when I'm just at home bumbling about and some nights. Other nights I wear my belvia, all in all money well spent :ok: x

I would go for the Macom hun, I have never had one myself as my recovery was braless, but I have bought a sports bra from Asda nd it was so horrible!
No support, and mega un-comfy. nope

Thanks ladies, yes that is what I'm going to do. Don't want to spend all that money to put them in a £4 bra that probably doesn't have any support. I mean these are like having 2 new children. Lol. Yes not long it's just come around so quickly xx

It's almost as exciting as having kids!! But makes u look a whole lot better! Yep get a macom - at least there won't be any faffage about size that way. I don't understand how anyone can buy a post op bra unless it's a macom as you just never know your size! They are unattractive items (unless u look like boobiesplease!) but do the job! Xx
