uplift, swelling and drop.
Hi ladies!
After an uplift alone, do your boobs "drop" a bit like the implants fluff? I'm lovng my uplifted boobs and if they stay as they are, i am not sure whether to get the implants as well. I'm only a week post op so still quite swollen as well.

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
I wouldn't have thoughts so, as it's just your natural breast tissue. They may move a little as the scarring and trauma relaxes, but I don't think there'll be a significant difference once the swelling subsides. But that'll be a bonus if you decide not to have the implants right now, save them for next time maybe?

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
Oh good point, not thought of that!
I think i am just so confused as i had my heart set on getting implants and after the uplift i just wanted a bit more oomph in the upper pole. But they look so good now, and i have been quite scared by some of the posts recently about girls unhappy after their op. And im just bricking it that if i get the implants, i wont be happy and wish i had just stuck with the uplift.
Oh its so hard to know what to do.

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
I don't want to take away from any girl here, but the majority of girls are unhappy after their op! Its the shock of them not being perfect, because no one prepares you for the results (except us of course!) and the over-analysing. This is why we always ask for patience, and that you wont see the end results until 6months.
For you, think of it this way, you've now got the luxury of choosing. You could get to implant day and decide actually, I want to wait another 3months to see how I get on with these, and postpone the date. No one is forcing you to have an implant, so its entirely your call.

Wise words As ever charli!
You're right, i have plenty of time to have think.
from your experience on here, are the majority of the girls happy 6 months down the line?

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
I've been around a while and seen sooooo many girls come through in tears within the first couple weeks/months, they're wonky, they're different sizes, ones lower, ones harder, too big, too small, not right. Then 6-12m later they're back once they've settles and they love them. Of course there are going to be individuals that aren't happy with them and do need to reop, and it can be down to a number of reasons. But I would say from my experience, more often than not its a waiting game and they're happy with the results

Fab news Charli, I will wait it out for a few months and see, and have a chat to Mr H.
Thanks so much for taking the time to have a wee chat with me.

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
You could also look at it from another perspective. Once you're all healed from uplift & scars have faded nicely, take a good long look at your result & ask yourself if these boobs were what you were starting from scratch with ( your own natural boobs not uplifted) would you still be considering having a BA to enhance them or would you be happy as they are?
You can also gain that little extra oomph in the upper pole in a good bra when you want it.
Just some more food for thought. XXX

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
I'm sorry to hear that Nikki, hopefully with time they will sort themselves out. You are still very early post op. Xx
That's a good idea Mirren. I think they just seem so much smaller, as i had the big saggy boobs for so long, the size and weight of them seemed normal to me! I can cross my arms and they are resting on my belly, not my boobs now! Mr H has done such an amazing job.
I'm 90% certain i would like a small implant just for that extra boost. I dont want to go too big as this will work against the uplift. but even though I've booked the date, still got plenty of time to think and chat to mr H.
Thanks again for the advice girls xx

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
Hi drinkeroftea,
Just thought I'd reply as my surgeon told me something that could answer your question.
I've got an uplift (no implants) booked with him for April 14th.
When discussing what to expect post-surgery, he warned me that when I first look at my boobs, I will think "what the hell has he done to me" because they will be very high up. He said that he has to do that because over time, they will naturally drop a little and settle down into a natural shape and height as the tissue/skin stretches due to gravity.
Does that make sense? Perhaps a lot of it is to do with the swelling but still, this is something he warned me about.
Thanks,
Fran

Hi,
Can't wait indeed. A bit scared though.
17 days post-op, how are your boobs healing and how are you feeling?

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
Hiya, I feel absolutely grand! so well, i went back to work 9 days post op, 5 days earlier then planned.
My boobs are healing very well, the bruising has now gone. I am taking my dressings off on Tuesday, which makes me feel a bit icky! I think I am going to have a big cup of tea and have an audio book on to distract me. I have prepared myself for the fact the stitches and scars are going to look quite bad. I keep looking at a blog of a lady who had an uplift, so I know what my scars will look like.
No pain at all, apart from a bit on my left crease where the scar is, but nothing major, not taking any painkillers for it. My nipples are a bit sensitive, but again nothing of note.

Re: uplift, swelling and drop.
I'm going throught the same choice at the moment as I have enough breast tissue that I don't NEED implants however I've decided I WANT them lol! I used to have larger breasts and I miss them. Good luck
