uplift AFTER BA??? Douglas McGeorge?
Hi Everyone!
I have a consultation on Monday at Spire in Wirral for an uplift.
I had a BA 8 years ago and am unsure whether I will need my implants replaced or not. I have never had a problem with them, they have just drooped.
Has anyone else had this procedure before? I have seen plenty of people that are having both at the same time, but not an uplift after a BA?
Any experiences of this would be great to hear!
I am also interested to hear from anyone who has experience of Mr Douglas McGeorge? He seems to be very good from other posts I have seen. Im sure Ill find al this out on Monday, but I can't wait!
Thanks
Jen x

Welcome to Breast Buddies Jenny
Mr McGeorge is one of the best surgeons UK so I hope you find you have a good consultation with him. We do advise here however that seeing more than the one surgeon would be in your best interest...just so you have a different surgery plan to compare with and also surgein too. Not everyone will click with the same surgeon.
In saying that - Mr Douggie McGod will be doing my own surgery next month and I can't wait. I've personally found him to be honest, professional, caring and boy does he knows his job. I've flumaxed a few surgeons with my information but he kept hitting back everything I threw at him - no problem!
If you look through the diaries section of the forum there's a lady we currently have on the forum called IsabellExpat, who has her diary on there having had an uplift and implants in one surgery with Mr McGod, so I'm sure you'll find that great reading for yourself.
Really looking forward to reading how you got on after your consultation Jenny.
Enjoy the forum. Xxx

Hi Jenny!
I had an uplift with implants with McGeorge 15 months ago.
I am beyond happy! I went back to him and had liposuction as well.
He is a fantastic surgeon and he creates great looking boobs.
I will sort my picture trail tonight, or tomorrow (need my hubbies help) so you can have a look at his work.

Congratulations!!
(I had my surgery at Spire Warrington so I don't know anything about Nuffield hospital, but you have the best surgeon so no need to worry about anything.)

Re: uplift AFTER BA??? Douglas McGeorge?
Hi Girls!
Well, Im 6 days post op and so happy! Thank you so much for all the advice and support on here.
I have not nearly had as much pain as I was expecting (paracetamol a couple of times a day only!) Although a bit wiped out with anaesthetic healing etc...
Im getting my dressings taken off on Tuesday so Im also hoping Ill be a bit more comfortable too then.
I just have a few things I'm itching (pardon the pun!) to know. Sorry to bullet point everything, its just that theres quite a few!
1. Driving- how long before I can?
2. when and how long to wear the sports bra for?
3. can anyone recommend scar treatment from when dressings are removed?
4. Exercise- I only run usually, so was thinking about using a spinner? or if anyone can direct me as to how to any safe and mild excercise, that would be great!
Im sure that they will answer these questions on Tuesday, but Im sure to forget knowing me!
Thanks so much again!

Re: uplift AFTER BA??? Douglas McGeorge?
Congratulations! Glad everything went well & you are pleased with your results!
For driving it varies , the usual time frame is around a week this does differ though maybe 7-14 days depending on surgeon, you also need to be comfortable enough to safely perform an emergency stop.
Your surgeon should advise on how long you will need to wear a sports bra as your aftercare is tailored specifically to you & your needs.
There are many scar treatments out there, there's debate on whether or not they work or not, as some use nothing on scars & the heal just as well as those who have used different treatments on their scars. Your surgeon will be able to advise what he thinks is best for you & how you are healing when you go to your check up.
Excercise is usually around 6 weeks after op , again with this you are better to check with your surgeon as doing excercise against surgeons advice can invalidate your aftercare. Also bare in mind even when given go ahead to excercise take it easy to start with & build up gradually listening to your body.
To share pics a lot of the ladies on here use picture trail, if you go to pictrail.com you can set up an account & upload pictures on there. Your account can be password protected so as only those you wish to share your pics with will be able to view them.
Good luck at the grand unveiling of your new boobs on Tuesday, let us know now you get on.( did you have an uplift on it's own or did you need your implants changed too ?)
Happy healing wishes heading your way. XXX
