Weird bruised veins on my ribs????
Has anyone else experienced this?
Its almost as tho a vein on each side under my boob is bruised and hard. Its well odd, I can felt it under my skin almost down to my hip :$ it starts at my incision on each side.
Might be worth mentioning that my hand and wrist feel the same here the cannula went. Makes sense there with something being pushed down my vein, I wonder what caused it on my ribs...

Re: Weird bruised veins on my ribs????
Its likely a Mondors Cord. Nothing to worry about, and will go away on its own. If you can bear it, massage should encourage it to go down.

Totally agree with Charlii
Monday's cord
Massaging the area will help speed along the time to get rid of it, but it's not necessary it will go on its own. Xx

They're more common than you think, but aren't on the lists of what can happen post op. We get so many girls with 'omg what is this'! I just wish the surgeons, or even the post op nurses would explain these things can happen, but its nowt to worry about.
