Bra too tight
Hi , when my surgeon put the macom on me strait after surgery,he put it on the tightest clips at the front . I suppose because it would support me properly. The back of the bra is cutting into my skin. Making it itch real bad . I already loosened the straps as they were leaving indentation on my skin. Can I put the clips at the front to a looser setting so it's not cutting in ? I bought a medium as I'm 34 so is the right size. I can't cope with the itchyness any more !!! Xxxx

Re: Bra too tight
I'd loosen it Anne, my macom is on the tightest and doesn't cut in at all nor is it tight or uncomfortable. Bless you, it will still support you on a looser clip ... I think xx

Re: Bra too tight
Ive loosened and tightened mine almost daily depending how my boobs feel, my surgeon said that was fine for me to do. I started today on the tightest and ive just loosened it, when I put my bed one on I wear that on the tightest for extra support in bed :)
Im sure whatever keeps you comfortable is fine. Did yr surgeon tell u the swelling would fluctuate rather than just decrease steadily as we would imagine?
Probably as you've been a bit more active today they might be a by more swelly x x x

Re: Bra too tight
No he didn't say anything like that. I'm just so uncomfortable with the bra cutting in on my shoulders and back . I think I'm at the worst point. Having trouble breathing and itchy beyond belief . I just called the doctor and he has given me sleeping tablets as I'm not sleeping. I'm sorry if I'm moaning and I do love my new boibies and will be worth it. It can only get better from here.nxxxx

Re: Bra too tight
Big hugs....it will get easier really soon. I would definitely loosen, it needs to be snug over your boobs so it's supportive but no reason for it to cut into your shoulders. Have you been told you can't take it off at all? I've also read that other ladies haven't liked the material of the macom finding it itchy....could you maybe switch to another high impact bra? Or did your surgeon say only the macom? Might help. I wear a 32 band but post op I wore a 34 with a bra extender on the loosest setting so maybe it is too tight. Hope you sleep better tonight xx

Re: Bra too tight
Hi hun
i wore my macom on the loosest fastening in the beginning, i think it was prob week 3 or 4 before i went to the tighter one. It shouldn't be hurting you so i would loosen it up x

Re: Bra too tight
Oh sweetheart c'mere
Some people just don't get along with the Macom (I'm one of them) and prefer like Mammamia suggested in buying a back fastening bra with bra extenders. My personal fave back fastener is the Triumph Extreme.
Try it on the looser fastenings. You really shouldn't be in so much discomfort hun. It's only adding to how down you're feeling right now and this discomfort really isn't necessary. I've always and side for anyone buying the Macom to also purchase a back fastener for these very reasons. No-one can predict quite how much swelling you're going to have post-op and although the Macom is great for fitting any cupsize.....it's not so great for the swelling of the back size.
I hope just loosening the fastening does help babe, but if not, I'd send someone out to buy you a bra that's going to give high impact support and to fit in comfort. I wouldn't chance going out yourself tomorrow with the sales starting and the last thing you want is a bump in the boob - it REALLY hurts. Xxxx

Re: Bra too tight
I'd try an F cup lovely. I recall you felt you thought you were an E so maybe get that as well, as long as you keep tags on you can take back what doesn't fit
Re: Bra too tight

Does sound like u need something else Anne, you shouldn't be this uncomfortable in yr bra x x

Re: Bra too tight
Definitely loosen it. The swelling can make you extra sensitive too. Make sure you're taking it off to give it a hand wash every couple of days, and when you do, slather on the moisturiser around you back and sides, it'll help.
If you can, get online and buy a bunch of sizes. Id say F or up too! Try some on, and return the rest. There's no way I'd recommend the shops tomorrow! Once you get in a more comfy bra it'll help with the rest of it, like your sleeping. I was the same with the zip front, just did not get on, was making me uncomfortable, irritable, not sleeping. Its amazing what the right bra will do!

Re: Bra too tight
M+s high impact comes recommended on here, I think they're 2 for £25ish. There's also the triumph traction and the shock absorbers, which are around ££35-40 each. The non-wired Panache is in that price bracket too. Try here for a discount maybe? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Bra too tight
Note on the triumph, as your boobs are new they're very D shaped, and won't 'fall' into the cup. You may find it doesn't fill the nipple space in the cup properly and there's some rippling in the bra. It should be ok as long as the band is fitting snugly and your breasts are properly in the cup and supported.

Re: Bra too tight
Triumph fitted me perfectly..
I used these when I had the uplift and they fitted great. Loved the comfort straps and band on the Triumph too. Xx

Re: Bra too tight
Don't forget to buy some bra extenders. You can pick them up in most places that sell bras. I get mine from Amazon for around £3. They're pretty much the same price in the shops too. Xx
Re: Bra too tight
I'm going online now but if before I was a 34c and now at a guess I'm an E, do I get a 32 E ? Xxx xxx

Re: Bra too tight
If you were a 34 back before you'll still be a 34 back now. The only thing your surgeon changed was your 'cup size' sweetie. So get yourself the 34 E as well as som bra extenders. Xx
