Might just be doing more today than you have been lately? Will take a while to gradually build your strength back up.
If your job is a physical one you could maybe see if your GP will give you a note for light duties for a couple of weeks.
Took a while for me to get back into the swing of things after my op , learnt a few ways to do things differently whilst I healed like pushing doors open with my butt etc.
As long as you aren't over doing it with your upper body, keeping your boobs well supported in sports bra and getting plenty rest when not working you should be ok. XXX

Back to work too early? Empty Re: Back to work too early?

I asked my surgeon how long i would need of after my revision and he said 4-5 days max!! I was like WHAT??  panic I explained that I worked in my local hospital & my job consist of moving & handling of people & support individuals with mobility seeing stars  He still said that 5 days would be plenty of time to recover? This totally threw me as the coordinator said id need two weeks off? The surgeon doesnt know yet if ill need a capsulectomyuntil "he gets in there". Now i dont know what to do for the best in terms of getting time off work. I dont want to take the time off if i don't need it, although if i do need it i need to book it in advance ? Any suggestions from anyone who has had a revision? x

I haven't had a revision but do know after my BA I wouldn't have managed to go back to work after 1 week, my job also involves moving & handling people who aren't able to manage by themselves.
Some say recovery after a revision is quicker than initial BA but should you require a capsulectomy  I think you will definately need that bit extra time off. XXX

I know i though the same, he said 5 days max =| Ill go back on light duties anyway so hopefully wont be too bad. I remember when I had my initial surgery it was still uncomfortable after 2weeks assisting people with their mobility x

7days is the recommended time off, but that's not accounting for individuals healing and jobs. Im just a desk worker, but I didn't go back to the office for 3weeks after unders, and even then opening the big heavy doors was a struggle. If you take time and don't need it, can you cancel it? I'd say better to be safe than sorry.
