Tooth cracked
My teeth hv been amazing all my life but in the last year hv totally gone downhill. Iv had three root canal treatments within the last 6 months and three tooth infections. !
My surgery is little over a week away and iv had half a tooth fall out! I'm just so scared of re infection. Obviously I will go to my dentist ASAP but wondered if u girls had any thoughts on this? X

Re: Tooth cracked
As long as you get it checked ASAP and there's no infection then your surgery will be OK to go ahead. If there is an infection or if infection develops, then surgery will have to be postponed x

Oh no! I hope you can get it sorted in time. And how strange that this has started happening all of a sudden, I would want to speak to my gp to make sure there's not another reason.

Re: Tooth cracked
I know wat crap timing, just waiting on emergency dentist. From what iv read if u hv root canal on a tooth it's then fragile and can crack if no cap is fitted. I will address it with doc but I think it's just bad luck and poor dentist skills in not addressing an issue...I'm def going to change dentist. I feel now tho what if thy say no infection but I hv a hidden one that doesn't come out...will I b in more danger for my op! I'm scared enough without this :( :(

Re: Tooth cracked
Can you speak to your clinic for some advice?
You could also explain the situation to your dentist and be clear how important it is that any infection is dealt with without delay however small.
Maybe you could get some antibiotics if there is any doubt??

Re: Tooth cracked
Thanks girls, such a stressful time. Dentist did a temporary fill tday, I will need a crown after the op. She said iv no signs of infection but I wud def know if had one and From previous recent ones I know the pain is immense. Iv just got to wait it out and hope nothing comes of it:(
Unfortunately if I do hv infection which requires antibiotics my surgeon won't operate for a month after completion of course.
It just makes me feel unsettled but I guess worse cud happen xxx
