9 days to go, cracked my rib

Evening all

so went go karting with my husband and a few pals for his bday last night and I had a wee bit of a crash into a wall few wee spins and hit another few walls came of the track and was bruised and sore and then went to the pub

Decided to go to a&e tonight and ive cracked a rib, not a clean break but a wee hairline crack half way through the bone and bruised another 4 ribs

The consultant I seen thinks that as I need to rest up a bit with the rib and im in pain then my op should go ahead but I will call the surgeon and double check

Ouch! Poor you.

They don't treat broken ribs anymore do they. My husbands had quite a few from playing football (bloody brutish that game is lol)

If its hairline and you still have 9 days to go till surgery hopefully you'll be OK hun. Hubby's had quite a few bad ones and felt better after a weeks rest so do make sure you rest up lots babe Xx

yeah def thats what im thinking and nope they dont treat it just send you away with pain killers, think they just wanted to check the xray incase it was anything else as my spine was sore too

yip currently lying in bed so def be resting xx

Hi Tink, sorry to hear about the accident, looks like you've got a lot of resting to do. I'm sure you'll still be fine to go head in 9 days. Have you got everything you need for after the op? Xx

lol its fine Blue Peter isnt letting me anyway

just back from Braehead so I could get some new jimjams and a few crop tops from m&s and im blooming sore now

so resting for the rest of the night xx

Arrgh no Tink you poor wee Tinkerbell, right you must wrap yourself in cotton wool for the next 9 days, in fact don't even leave the house, take care hun, sending you a cyber hug but just a gentle one in case it squeezes your ribs sore. Hug
