How tight should a sports bra be Empty How tight should a sports bra be

Post by MrsCheese 30th March 2014, 10:10 am

Hi
I'm driving myself mad with this. The Macom and I have parted ways so I went to m&s to get a couple of the zip fronted sports bras. They measured me as a 36e, the bra is lovely and comfy and feels supportive but I'm worried that it is not tight enough on the cups. I have tried the 36 dd and that is much tighter but uncomfortable after a few hours.

How tight should it be? I'm panicking that I'm going ruin my boobies :(
What are everyone's else's bras like?

Are you sure your a 36 Hun? M&s still tend to use the plus 4 numbers when measuring. You don't look like a 36 in your avi. Remeber the support comes from the band so you need to make sure the band is the correct size. X

Right ladies this is making sense now I stupidly didn't know the band was giving the support - so I realise what it should feel like now. I've got a 34e which I am now wearing and that feels fine for the mo. I am going to go back to get measured again tomorrow. I was always a 34 I just realised that is wrong on my stats above lol! I feel like a bra collector the number I have!

To be honest I wasn't that impressed with the service I had at the time, so that's probably why it's wrong! I was feeling quite self conscious about my plasters etc.
But I'm on a mission to sort it out tomorrow
Thanks

It should be comfortable, definitely not leave any marks on you or have you wanting to get it off after a few hours x

Definitely make sure your in the right band. Also, they're going to be high and tight, so you may find some empty parts of the bra where the breast doesn't fall naturally into the cup yet. But it should be comfortably tight

Thanks, I've resorted back to the Macom now. I just don't think I can get used to the zip fronted bras they don't seem to work for me.
