Sports bra is so tight..
My sports bra is really bloody tight, I asked my mam to undo it for 2 minutes and I breathed a sigh of relief, I've got it on the tightest hook, just wondering would it be ok to put it on the middle/lowest hook or has it got to be tight around the band?

Re: Sports bra is so tight..
I think I read somewhere on here that its bad for you to have a too tight sports bra. I think its easy to believe the tighter you have it the more support you have, but I am not sure that is right. I bought a shock absorber and had it on last hook but had to loosen it as it made my boobs feel like they were burning ! I know that cant be right.Hope that helps a bit. I think it was Cookie who said something about it. Hopefully she can put us straight? xx

You should absolutely loosen your band if it feels tight hun. Your bra should fit 'snugly' but not tightly, so if loosening your band is going to help then go ahead and do it. It's very possible swelling has kicked in now around the rib area, so just make yourself comfy babe. If your incisions feel sore just a pop a panty liner or sanitary towel against your bra band to cushion the skin. This helps give relief in that area too. Xxx

Thank you both :) I can fit 2 fingers in the band so it isn't THAT tight it just feels it to me! My incisions are sore, but the band isn't directly rubbing them

Re: Sports bra is so tight..
Maybe just try the cushionIng on the band then hun? It could be that the band feels tight even though it's not as your skin/rib area can feel quite sore after a BA, so a little cushioning may be all that's needed to help.
If the 'only' thing that's going to give you comfort though is to actually 'loosen' the band, then do that babe. You shouldn't sit there in a bra that's causing so much discomfort if loosening the hooks helps to ease that for you. Xx
