Re: slight redness n warm?
All sounds normal from all the reading on BB I have done hun. You sound like you are getting panicky!
Scars itchy: I am sure that is a good sign of them healing....?
Numbness and tingling : nerve related?
Someone will answer soon hun but I too have numbness, tingles etc.
You will soon see you are ok, don't worry too much, one more sleep!!!
xx

Re: slight redness n warm?
All absolutely fine hun. I couldnt even lift my arms til about a week post, so lived in button up shirts. Its not going to ruin your scars. It'll feel like its pulling, but it wont do anything. And the itchy feeling is just the skin knitting back together and healing.
Numbness again is completely normal, and im sorry to say it, but will last a while. It can take up to 2yrs for full sensation to come back. I still have numb patches on the lower breast. Its odd, coz you can feel it tingling and itching, but if you touch to rub or scratch, you cant feel a thing! It might feel like ants running around, this too is just the healing. Ice packs on the tops of your boobs or an antihistamine should help with it.

Re: slight redness n warm?
I think because you had a scare your letting your mind get the better of you now gorgeous. All the symptoms you're describing are perfectly normal and nothing to worry about, but talking here a a you are is what's going to get you though hun.
You really are going to be OK and you have sooooo much to look forward too
Just remember we're here for you babe and ANY worries you have at all, just post away and we'll talk you through till you feel OK about it.
Its very possible also that the booby blues have kicked in sweetness. When you get the booby blues everything seems to get magnified and you don't know why - you find yourself crying, panicking, getting anxious and there's just no control over it, so you could well be be suffering this too babe.
No matter how much you read pre-BA it never really prepares you for post-op and with the GA sending hormones into overdrive too it really doesn't help.
Big hugs hun.

I don't think your choice of profession matters hun. We've had many nurses here all worried about exactly the same concerns you are. We're ALL just treading into the unknown when we have our BAs and even for those who have more surgery... Those feelings are just as scary.
You let that cry out hun - in a few days time you're going to feel much better. You just need to get past the blues first. Be sure you're drinking lots of water to get any of the GA still in your system flushed out of there and you'll soon come through the other side.
