Hey,

My boobs were warm straight from op and are still warm now but had reassurance from surgeon it's just my body getting used to having something there. Also I had a reddish rash ( 6 weeks post op)which was possibly a reaction to the bio oil or something in a cream I had been using to massage scars.

Saw my surgeon last tuesday and he said tostop using bio oil and use E45 but that's bought the rashback so gone back to my other cream.  It will settle so don't worry

The skin can looked very stretched and red early Hun, also accomonpied by swelling.

If you feel unwell with a fever then it could be a possible sign of infection however you're usually given antibiotics via iv and if you're taking anti bs that should be preventing infection so try not to worry Hun x

Good advise from MrsB there hun.

Please don't worry though babe. It may be nothing at all. It is pretty common for a little redness and swelling on one breast due to a little more trauma on that side.

If you have a temperature at all though they may ask to see you just to check all is well. If not, they may just want you to go to clinic tomorrow for a check up.

You'll be fine babe. Don't worry, you're being well looked after.   Hug

Nahhh... Getting out in the fresh air is encouraged babe. As long as you didn't exert yourself which you say you didn't then it won't have been that.

Many women have a little redness and swelling hun. Just keep an eye on your temp for a few days too and if you start to feel unwell at all give them another call to go back and see them. Xx

I can't see that any of those would have been the cause. You're advised to quit pain killers as soon as you feel able anyway and arnica... Well, there no proven scientific evidence this has any healing properties anyways babe.

If you're right handed it could be something as simple as you not realising you're doing too much with that arm

No pushing, pulling, or stretching at all. Have you maybe carried bags or done the washing or anything that may have caused you to overdo it?

Are you in a very supportive support bra?

Keeping the breast as stable as possible will help if it has maybe been over stretched or worked for a couple of days will help, so maybe think more when doing things if it might be too heavy or too much maybe?

Don't worry you won't have ruined anything! Just keep those boobs well supported and don't over do things whilst they heal, you'll be fine.  Hug   XXX

Definitely do not worry yourself at all. You will be fine like Mirren said, take it easy. Even if you feel well...remember you just had surgery...put YOU FIRST for a while.

I am looking forwards to my appointment Thursday....is it tomorrow you are seeing PS/nurse hun?

Brill, so you can have some reassurance tomorrow. In the meantime sounds like things are better than yesterday, some numbness is sooo normal too. My undersides of both are numb feeling.

Let us know how you get on tomorrow xxxx

If. He redness has gone I wouldn't worry lovely. Its COMPLETELY normal to have one breast larger than the other early post-op. The majority of us having a BA will have the same babe. So you can relax a little now hun, the redness may have been a little warning sign but now that's gone... I wouldn't worry hun. Xx

Oh love, its a very common feeling, but Im sure everything is fine. At about 4-5wks, i turned over in bed and something went twang. It was so painful, but my biggest fear was that Id done something serious and ruined everything, I was inconsolable. But it was just a pulled muscle, everything was ok. Its so easy to think the worst because its such a huge thing in your life. The nurse should be able to reassure you that alls well today.

Ohhhhh sweetness, don't feel like that  Hug

The symptoms you had/have are perfectly normal. Nothing is of any concern so there no way you've 'ruined' anything babe.

Recovery is a hard road for many of us and its not as simple as waking with gorgeous bobs - they come out looking like balls or torpedoes, they're wonky, they have one bigger than he other, more discomfort in on than the other.

They just don't play fair babes and it can be a HUGE concern.

But that were we come in - we CAN reassure you 100% that you haven't 'ruined' anything. Your boobs are simply recovering 'normally' but their normal to someone who hasn't yet been down this road can be very scary, but I hope we can comfort you sweetheart and reassure you that you really are OK and your boobs too are OK.  Hug

I think its worse for those who have good revoveries because it is so easy to overdo it, but our bodies have an amazing way if giving us a right good telling off when we need it and you know this yourself babe... So yeah, slow down, take things easy... You haven't put yourself at risk of CC so don't worry about that at all, you're just fine.

So ease up gorgeous and enjoy your boobs.  Hug
