Ouch yes, when I had my c section with my daughter I MADE them take my canula a out on the back of my hand as it was swollen and couldn't move my hand properly which was not practical when I needed to feed and change my newborn!
Just watch it's not infected Hun, but yes for weeks after the back of my hand was tender to touch and certain movements could feel how tender it was

Xx

Its phlebitis Tink.

Its absolutely fine. Nothing to worry about and is quite common. Happens to me all the time babe, so I know how you feel. It raises like a ball and feels so sore.

If you just massage the area babe, it will get better don't worry. Xx

Ooh, sounds painful. The bruising may take another week to heal up, especially if the vein collapsed.

I had bloods taken last week, and I warned them I have the tiny veins of a shrew, so they had to get a snr nurse in. She still managed to hit my Radial nerve, and now I get an electric shock in my hand when I stretch. Not cool

Mine was the same hun and when I jad my allergic reaction like 3 weeks later it swelled right up and was super tender. It still feels a bit tight sometimes just on the back of my hand but I'm sure it must be normal xx
