Chest bands.. some girls will wake up with one on after surgery and have to keep it on 24/7 for a certain amount of time. Other girls won't have them. It's surgeon's preference and whether they think it's needed. It's not something you get yourself.

I'm not 100% but I think they're used if you had unders, to help them drop down into the pocket. X

Chest bands, or binders if im thinking of what you are are used only by surgeons preference much like how some surgeons use drains whereas others wont. From what ive seen, THG are where most ladies are told to wear them from so you may wake up in one yes, you can ring your clinic if you are unsure so you know to expect one or not x

Re: What are the bands?
Hey pilly. The compression bands are used to push down the implant and encourage them to drop. Its just an elasticated band that you wear across the top of your chest. As always, its surgeons choice. I had no idea about them until I woke up with one on. I had mine 24/7 for 6wks. They also gave me a 2nd one on discharge, so wash one wear one. Theyre a pain in the A, but not so bad once you get used to them, so dont worry too much about it.

Hey I was with THG and woke up with a band, they do just what the girls say above and also help with the swelling. I,ve got to wear mine for 3 weeks, but didn't have to wear a bra for the first 2 weeks just the band.

Re: What are the bands?
Don't worry if you don't wake up in a band/binder... Not everyone 'needs' one. If your surgeon thinks your recovery will benefit from the pressure of a band to encourage the implant to drop, you'll have one, if not.... There's really no need to wear one. Xx
