hi girls, I'm just 5days post op and probably just worrying too much. But this morning I've had sharp stabbing pains in my left breast, mostly when I move or use my left arm. my recovery has been pretty good up until now so it's upset me as to why this is happening today:( is this normal? xx:(

it might be a sign that you've overdone it slightly if its only happening when you move but stabbing/shooting pains etc are very normal early post op and your body starts to heal xx try an ice pack and some painkillers xx

Thanks girls, I've taken paracetamol and ibuprofen this morning and ice packs have been on and off. It's just so frustrating that everything seems to have been fine til today:(xx

If its happening only when you move your arm babe, its most likely a nerve causing the problem. The swelling early post op can very often put pressure on a nerve and cause sometimes quite severe pain, some women feel it so bad they can't more their arm. But this is common and it WILL subside as the swelling settles hun and takes the pressure off the nerve. Xx

aw vix don't get disheartened, only a little bump in the road and you might find that with the icepacks the pain will have mostly subsided tomorrow.
